Repackagers use the Pick Ship message to communicate the Transaction Information (TI), Transaction History (TH), and Transaction Statement (TS) to:

• Repackagers, Wholesale Distributors, or Dispensers purchasing the product within the shipment.
• Another location receiving the product without a change of ownership (e.g. a warehouse-to-warehouse transfer).

Repackagers use the Pick Ship message to communicate the Transaction Information (TI), Transaction History (TH), and Transaction Statement (TS) to:

• Repackagers, Wholesale Distributors, or Dispensers purchasing the product within the shipment.

Repackagers receive the Return Receipt message from Repackagers, Wholesale Distributors, and Dispensers that previously purchased product and are now returning it. If the product can be resold, the Repackager needs the TH from the original sale and return, and if the product cannot be resold, the message records the return for the audit trail.

Repackagers use the GS1 US Healthcare Transaction History message to send an Advanced Ship Notice containing the Transaction History to Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Wholesale Distributors, and Dispensers that purchase the product, using the GS1 US Healthcare format.

Repackagers use the Ship Notification message to provide Repackagers, Wholesale Distributors, and Dispensers with a "lightweight" ship notification that arrives ahead of the full ASN. The Repackager, Wholesale Distributor, or Dispenser purchasing the product use this message as a logistics document to facilitate receiving reconciliation.

Repackagers use the Shipment Receipt message to receive products against an inbound sales delivery within TraceLink. The system then:

1. Verifies that the products received have a corresponding TH provided by the Pharmaceutical Manufacturer, Repackager, or Wholesale Distributor that sold the product.
2. Verifies the compliance fields required based on the product's origin.
3. Updates the status in the TH to "Received."
4. Assigns a lot number if not already assigned.

Repackagers use the Shipment Receipt message to receive products against an inbound sales delivery within TraceLink. The system then:

Repackagers receive the Transaction History Inventory Response message from TraceLink, which contains the inventory report generated by the Transaction History Inventory Request message.

Repackagers use the Update Transaction message to update the state of an existing TH by:

• Adjusting the available inventory quantity associated with the TH.
• Changing the state of the TH from "Available" to "Quarantined" and vice versa. Quarantined THs are excluded from pick operations.
• Void a TH associated with a delivery purchased from a Pharmaceutical Manufacturer or Wholesale Distributor, or sold to a Repackager, Wholesale Distributor, or Dispenser.
