Ship Notification Overview

The Shipment Notification message is a ship notification used to inform purchasers of the contents of a delivery. When the inbound ASN is received by TraceLink, a "lightweight" ship notification is forwarded to the purchaser’s internal systems for use as a logistics document to facilitate receiving reconciliation. The Shipment Notification message creates an SOI (shipment --> order --> item level) formatted ship notification.
