EDI Acknowledgment Overview

The inbound EDI Acknowledgment message is sent from a customer’s EDI system to TraceLink in order to acknowledge the status of an outbound ASN sent from TraceLink to a purchaser. Acknowledgment occurs at the functional level and reports a success/failure for the outbound ASN.

The outbound EDI Acknowledgment message is sent from TraceLink to the supplier’s EDI system in order to acknowledge the status of an inbound ASN received from the supplier. Acknowledgment occurs at the functional level and reports a success/failure for the inbound ASN.
