Communicate production status

1. Hover over Modules in the top left of any screen, and then select Serial Number Exchange.
2. In the Batch Functions section, select Create Production Order.
3. In the 1. Select ServiceLink section, fill in the following field:
   • ServiceLink drop-down – Required. The Serial Number Exchange Link that includes the Owner and the company or location that requests or receives serial numbers the serial numbers.
4. In the 2. Enter Batch Information section, fill in the following fields:
   1. Batch Status radio buttons – Required. The current state of the batch:
      • Active – (default) The lot is accurate and active.
      • Withdrawn – The product information is entered in error or the lot is canceled or discarded.
   2. Packaging Codes section – Required. The packaging information of the product:
      1. Packaging Code field – The GTIN, NTIN, or CN-Rescode assigned to a specific level of packaging.
      2. Packaging Level drop-down – The packaging level (i.e. unit of measure) for the items being requested:
         • Each – The smallest salable unit of the product. Packaging level for production orders manufactured in India and exported from the Indian market must have a Packaging Level of Each.
         • Innerpack/Bundle – A grouping of eaches.
         • Case/Shipper – A grouping of inner packs/bundles or a grouping of eaches if the packaging hierarchy does not include inner packs/bundles.
         • Pallet – A grouping of cases, inner packs, or eaches together on a pallet.
         Select Add Packaging Code to add another packaging code.
   3. Country Drug Code field – The unique drug code assigned to the product by the country where it will be sold.
   4. Country of Manufacture field – Required. The country the product is produced in.
   5. PO Number field – The purchase order associated with the serial numbers.

   6. Work Order Number field – The unique identifier associated with the work order.

   7. Reference Identifier field – The internal business identifier.

   8. Manufacturer ID field – Required. The company identifier of the manufacturer.

   9. Internal Material Number field – The manufacturer's internal system identifier for the product.

   10. Lot Number field – Required. The lot or batch number associated with the serial numbers being commissioned.

   11. Expiration Date field – The date that the product expires.

   12. Manufacturing Date field – The date that the product is manufactured.
   13.  Export to Market section – The details of the product if exported:
       1. Export to Country Code field – The country code of the export market.
       2. Target Market Exemption drop-down – Indicates whether the product is exempt from the export market's regulatory compliance:
          • Yes – The product is exempt from the export market's regulatory compliance.
          • No – The product is not exempt from the export market's regulatory compliance.
       3. Exemption Reference ID field – Conditionally required if Target Market Exemption is Yes. The ID number for the exemption.
       4. Exemption Reference Date field – Conditionally required if Target Market Exemption is Yes. The date for the exception.
   14. Unit Price field – The current price of the product.
   15. Currency field – Conditionally required if Unit Price contains a value. The currency of the export market.
5. Deselect Repeat Function After Submit to display the Packaging Events Log after selecting Submit (optional).

6. Select Submit.

   TraceLink begins processing the production request. When complete, the Partner locations or companies receive the request and begin producing the specified quantity of the selected product.

   • If the Repeat Function After Submit checkbox is selected, the screen refreshes.
   • If the Repeat Function After Submit checkbox is not selected, the Packaging Events Log screen displays.

Tips

• To withdraw a production order, find the original order in the Packaging Events Log, and then select Withdraw Production Order.

3. In the 1. Select ServiceLink section, fill in the following field:

   1. Item Code field – Required. The country drug code or internal material number of the product.

   2. Lot Number field – Required. The lot or batch number associated with the serial numbers being commissioned.

5. In the 3. Enter Quantity Details section, fill in the following fields:
   This section pre-populates as much information as possible from Product Master Data based on the Item Code.
   1. Packaging Level drop-down – Required. The packaging level (i.e. unit of measure) for the items being commissioned:
      • Each – The smallest salable unit of the product. At least one each is required for confirming lot production.
      • Innerpack/Bundle – A grouping of eaches.
      • Case/Shipper – A grouping of inner packs/bundles or a grouping of eaches if the packaging hierarchy does not include inner packs/bundles.
      • Pallet – A grouping of cases, inner packs, or eaches together on a pallet.
   2. SSCC checkbox – The Serialized Shipping Container Code. Displays only if Case/Shipper is selected.
   3. Packaging Item Code drop-down – The GTIN, NTIN, or CN-Rescode assigned to a specific level of packaging. If SSCC is selected, enter the GS1 Company Prefix.
   4. Quantity field – The quantity of serial numbers produced in the selected packaging level.
   Select Add Level to add another packaging level.
6. Deselect Repeat Function After Submit to display the Packaging Events Log after selecting Submit (optional).
7. Select Submit.

   TraceLink confirms the production of the batch, reports this confirmation to Partner companies and locations, and, if configured, generates a Document of Serialization report.

   • If the Repeat Function After Submit checkbox is selected, the screen refreshes.
   • If the Repeat Function After Submit checkbox is not selected, the Packaging Events Log screen displays.
