In Customize, companies that own Solution Builder can extend the functionality surrounding the apps that the company owns. Customize enables companies to modify functionality and behavior to meet the company's specific business needs. For example, companies can customize:
- Experiences for users with a specific job function (e.g. warehouse operators) or for the company’s business segment.
- Workflows that move business objects between states and can include additional logic.
- The data model where specific fields can be made required or optional.
- Roles and permissions that govern access to screens, functions, and data in the Web UI and through integration.
Customize provides a low-code interface for extending app functionality. This makes customization accessible to supply chain subject matter experts, allowing them to make adjustments without needing a background in app development.
Companies can customize solution functionality that leverages the underlying apps and their APIs. Customization of solutions does not impact the underlying apps and APIs, ensuring that the apps and APIs maintain their integrity and interoperability. Companies cannot customize the core apps or APIs using Customize.
