Identify DSCSA Exempt Products During Receiving
OPUS Serialized Operations Manager users (e.g. warehouse operators), can now verify the DSCSA-exempt products based on the available Product Master Data (PMD) information. Users can then
When serialization data for a scanned product is unavailable, TraceLink checks the Traceability Flag in the PMD to determine whether the product qualifies for an exemption. If the Traceability Flag indicates an exemption, operators can receive the product without being blocked by unavailable serialization data.
To verify and receive DSCSA-exempt products when serialization data is unavailable:
-
Scan the tote barcode – If serialization data is not available, the Serial Number Not Found message displays.
-
Scan a product barcode – Scan the GTIN of a product in the tote when prompted.
-
Verify the exemption – TraceLink checks the product in the PMD and if the Traceability Flag is Not Required, TraceLink identifies the product as exempt.
-
Receive the product –Based on the exempt product indication, operators may continue receiving the product into inventory as per the company’s SOP.
