Configure the App at the Company Level

Configure Warehouse Operations

Select Applications from the Management landing page.
or
Expand the Management Navigation in the header of any screen, and select Applications.
Search for the Smart Inventory Tracker app where My Company's Role is Owner.
Select the Configure Company icon in the Actions column.
In the Warehouse Operations section:
1. Select an Allow Aggregation of Mixed SSCCs? radio button to set which product and lot combinations warehouse operators are allowed to aggregate to SSCCs in the Manage Containers - Existing Container and New SSCC functions:
  - Mixed Product / Mixed Lot – (default) Child serial numbers aggregated to an SSCC parent container can have different packaging codes or different lot numbers.
  - Same Product / Mixed Lot – Child serial numbers aggregated to an SSCC parent container must have the same packaging code but can have different lot numbers.
  - Same Product / Same Lot – Child serial numbers aggregated to an SSCC parent container must have the same packaging code and same lot number.
2. Select an Allow Creation of New Deliveries? radio button:
  - Yes – If a warehouse operator enters a delivery number that does not exist in Serialized Operations Manager, Smart Inventory Tracker prompts the warehouse operator to enter the required delivery information, saves that information, and then sends the delivery to Serialized Operations Manager to be created.
  - No – (default) If a warehouse operator enters a delivery number that does not exist in Serialized Operations Manager, Smart Inventory Tracker returns an error.
3. Select an Allow Login on Multiple Devices? radio button:
  - Yes – (default) A user can be logged in to multiple devices.
  - No – A user can be logged in to only one device at a time. If a user attempts to log in to a device while they are already logged in to a separate device, Smart Inventory Tracker returns a message informing the user that they must log out of the other device before continuing.
4. Select a Receive Partial deliveries? radio button:
  - Yes – Smart Inventory Tracker allows warehouse operators to receive product in a shipment without having physically received the entire shipment. Warehouse operators can choose either of these options:
    - Save the delivery – Smart Inventory Tracker sets the Item Status to Available for the serial numbers received. The delivery is updated to an unsubmitted state.
    - Complete the delivery – Smart Inventory Tracker sets the Item Status to Available for all the serial numbers in the delivery. The delivery is updated to a submitted state. Additional serial numbers are prevented from being received against the delivery number.
  - No – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker requires Deliveries to be received in full before warehouse operators can submit a receipt.
5. Select the Default Item Status that displays for warehouse operators in the Update Number Status - Available function:
  - None – (default) No default Item Status displays.
  - Available – The item is available for picking.
  - Blocked – The item is unavailable for picking.
  - Pending Receipt – The transfer of ownership is in an interim state because the shipment awaits receipt confirmation at the receiving location.
  - Picked – There is an item reservation against a specific outbound delivery indicating item picking is complete.
  - Received – There is an item reservation against a specific outbound delivery indicating items are received.
  - Shipped – The transfer of ownership is in an interim state because the shipment is in transit to the receiving location.
  - Under Investigation – The item is quarantined or in a holding state due to a product investigation. The serial number cannot be included in a sales shipment.
6. Select the Default Sale Type that displays for warehouse operators in the Ship function:
  - None – (default) No default Sale Type displays.
  - Return - Export – Product returned to the supplier, shipped from one country to another.
  - Return - In Country – Product returned to the supplier, shipped within the same country.
  - Sale - Export – A sale and distribution made from one country to another.
  - Sale - In Country – A sale and distribution made within the same country.
  - Transfer - Export – A transfer within a company or with a Partner, such as a 3PL or CMO, shipped from one country to another.
  - Transfer - In Country – A transfer within a company or with a Partner, such as a 3PL or CMO, shipped within the same country.
7. Select the Default Supply Type that displays for warehouse operators in the Ship function:
  - None – (default) No default Supply Type displays.
  - Agency Ordered Destruction – Return of a product for destruction as ordered by a government agency.
  - Civil Protection Emergency Distribution – Distribution of product to authorized parties (e.g. police) for civil protection and disaster control.
  - Collection – Return of recalled product (displays only if the Ship From Country is not South Korea).
  - Contract Manufacturer Buyback – A return sale back to the CMO.
  - Court Ordered Destruction – Return of product for court ordered destruction.
  - Customs Clearance Distribution – Product that is received into an importer’s warehouse after customs clearance.
  - Customs Sale – Sale of product previously seized by a customs agency.
  - Customs Zone Transfer – Product that is transferred between customs zones.
  - Dental Practitioner Distribution – Distribution of product to a dental practitioner.
  - Destruction Distribution – Return of product for company-initiated destruction.
  - Donation – Distribution of product for donation.
  - Emergency Medical Practitioner Distribution – Distribution of product to a paramedic or emergency medical practitioner.
  - Exempted Dispenser – Suppliers mark a product as Dispensed before a dispenser receives it.
  - Free of Charge Distribution – Free sales that are neither Donations nor Sample Distributions.
  - Medical Care Distribution – Distribution of product for medical care.
  - Medical Practitioner Distribution – Distribution of product to a doctor or other medical practitioner.
  - Military Distribution – Distribution of product to the military.
  - Optical Practitioner Distribution – Distribution of product to an optometrist or optician.
  - Patient Distribution – Distribution of product to a patient.
  - Pharmaceuticals Provider Distribution – Distribution of product to a provider.
  - Prison Distribution – Distribution of product to a prison.
  - Re-Export Distribution – Product that is produced in Country A, and then imported into and subsequently re-exported from Country B.
  - Re-Export Embargo Distribution – Product that is produced in Country A, and then imported into and subsequently re-exported from Country B due to an embargo placed on the product.
  - Re-Export Sanctions Distribution – Product that is produced in Country A, and then imported into and subsequently re-exported from Country B due to imposed sanctions.
  - Research University Distribution – Distribution of product to a research institution (e.g. universities that perform research).
  - Safety & Life Reserves Distribution – Distribution of product to a retail pharmacy.
  - Sample Distribution – Distribution of product as free samples.
  - School Distribution – Distribution of product to a school.
  - Special Medical Care Distribution – Distribution of product to a nursing home or hospice.
  - Veterinary Distribution – Distribution of product to a veterinarian or a veterinary retailer.
  - Withdrawn Product Collection – Withdrawn goods are collected and returned to the Pharmaceutical Manufacturer.
8. Select an Allow Commissioning of Preprinted Labels? radio button:
  - Yes – If a warehouse operator scans an SSCC or SGTIN parent container that has a Serial Number Status of Encoded or does not exist in Serialized Operations Manager, Smart Inventory Tracker sends the serial number and associated aggregation information to Serialized Operations Manager, which commissions the serial number. Individual serial number templates must be made available for commissioning on the Printing Configuration for [Location Name] screen.
    The serial number must be printed and then scanned to be commissioned. Manually entered serial numbers that have a Serial Number Status of Encoded or do not exist in Serialized Operations Manager result in an error.
  - No – (default) If a warehouse operator scans an SSCC or SGTIN parent container that has a Serial Number Status of Encoded or does not exist in Serialized Operations Manager, Smart Inventory Tracker returns an error.
9. Select an Allow Serial Number Registration? radio button:
  - Allow With Master Data – If a warehouse operator enters a GTIN or NTIN serial number that is not already in SOM, TraceLink registers this serial number if the GTIN or NTIN is present in the company's product master data.
  - Allow Without Master Data – If a warehouse operator enters a GTIN or NTIN serial number in a US target market that is not already in SOM, SOM searches for the packaging code in the company's product master data. If the packaging code is not present in MDX, SOM then searches for the NDC from the packaging code in IBM Micromedex® RED BOOK® or TraceLink's NDC database (which relies on data from the FDA), registers the serial number, and adds the GTIN or NTIN to the company's product master data. Serial numbers without existing master data entries can be registered only in the Receive function.
  - Do Not Allow – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker returns an error if a warehouse operator enters a serial number that is not found in SOM.
10. Select whether warehouse operators can Ship or Save Shipments? from the radio buttons:
  - Ship – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker displays the Ship button, which sends the delivery number and its associated serial numbers to Serialized Operations Manager in a submitted state.
  - Save – Smart Inventory Tracker displays the Save button, which sends the delivery number and its associated serial numbers to Serialized Operations Manager in an unsubmitted state.
  - Warehouse Operator Decides – Smart Inventory Tracker displays the Submit button, which allows warehouse operators to choose whether to ship or save the delivery number in a dialog box.
11. Select how warehouse operators identify receipts from the Receive By? radio buttons:
  - Delivery Number – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker displays the Delivery Number field to warehouse operators when they open the Receive and Return functions.
  - Transaction ID or Serial Number – Smart Inventory Tracker displays the Transaction ID or Serial Number field to warehouse operators when they open the Receive and Return functions. The mobile app then finds all unsubmitted delivery numbers associated with that transaction ID or serial number for the warehouse operator to select from.
12. Select a Receive Child Items with Implicit Disaggregation from Parent? radio button:
  - Yes – Smart Inventory Tracker allows warehouse operators to receive products below the container level. If the received serial numbers are children that belong to a parent container on the receipt, those received child serial numbers are implicitly disaggregated from their parent container and marked as Available, while the others in the container, and the parent container itself, remain in the Pending Receipt Item Status.
  - No – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker does not allow warehouse operators to receive products below the container level and prompted to receive using only the parent container.
13. Select an Allow Aggregation at the Same Packaging Level? radio button:
  - Yes – Smart Inventory Tracker allows warehouse operators to aggregate a child serial number into a parent container with the same packaging level (i.e. Pallet into Pallet, Case into Case, Inner Pack into Inner Pack).
  - No – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker does not allow aggregation at the same packaging level and continues to check for a valid packaging level, packaging ratio, and packaging quantity.
14. Select a Receive the Serial Number Used to Search a Receipt? radio button:
  - Yes – (default) For a parent serial number, Smart Inventory Tracker associates the parent and all its child serial numbers to the delivery. For a child serial number, Smart Inventory Tracker disaggregates the child from its parent and associates the serial number (and its children, if any) to the delivery.
  - No – Smart Inventory Tracker does not associate the serial number that is used to search for a receipt.
15. Select an Allow Multiple Barcode Scan At Once? radio button:
  - Yes – Handheld devices are enabled to scan multiple barcodes in a single scan.
  - No – (default) Handheld devices can scan single barcode at a time.
  The multiple barcode scan feature is currently supported on the following Zebra handheld devices, and validated by TraceLink: Zebra MC3300, MC3300x, MC9300, MC9400, TC70x, TC72, TC77, TC51, and TC52.
Select Submit.
The Applications screen displays, and TraceLink applies the saved configuration the next time a user opens a Smart Inventory Tracker function.

Configure Event Reporting

Select Applications from the Management landing page.

Expand the Management Navigation in the header of any screen, and select Applications.
Search for the Smart Inventory Tracker app where My Company's Role is Owner.
Select the Configure Company icon in the Actions column.
In the Event Reporting section:
1. Select an Allow SSCC Each-level Retrieval? radio button:
  - Yes – When warehouse operators enter an SSCC barcode in Ship or Undo Number Status with an Event Type of Shipped, TraceLink retrieves the lowest saleable units within the SSCC from Serialized Operations Manager or the Owner's external system of record (SOR) and reports those serial numbers with an asynchronous message.
  - No – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker returns an error when a warehouse operator enters an SSCC barcode.
2. If Allow SSCC Each-level Retrieval? is Yes and TraceLink is not the Owner's SOR:
  1. Enter an External System URL for Each-level Retrieval where TraceLink retrieves the SSCC's lowest saleable unit from (optional).
  2. Enter a Username with access to the external SOR (required if an External System URL for Each-level Retrieval is entered).
  3. Enter the corresponding Password for the Username (required if an External System URL for Each-level Retrieval is entered).
3. Select the Default Event Type that displays for warehouse operators in the Update Number Status and Undo Number Status functions:
  - None (default)
  - Damaged – The product is damaged (only available for Update Number Status).
  - Destroyed – The product is terminated (only available for Update Number Status).
  - Received – The product is received in a shipment (only available for Update Number Status in US Markets).
  - Stolen – The product is stolen (only available for Update Number Status).
  - Shipped – The product is shipped (only available for Undo Number Status).
  - Sampled by Authorities – The product is sampled by government authorities.
  - Under Investigation – The product is quarantined, locked, or in a holding state due to an investigation. The serial number cannot be included in a sales shipment.
4. Select the Default Supply Type that displays for warehouse operators in the Ship and Undo Number Status (if the Event Type is Shipped) functions:
  - None (default)
  - Export – Exporting product to another country.
  - Free Sample – Distributing product as free samples.
  - Civil Protection – Distributing product to authorized authorities (e.g. police) for civil protection.
  - Emergency – Distributing product to authorized authorities (e.g. police) for disaster control.
  - Dental Practitioner – Distributing product to dental practitioners.
  - Emergency Medical Practitioner – Distributing product to paramedics or emergency medical practitioners.
  - Exempted Dispenser – Distributing product to a dispenser that is exempted from government reporting, which requires the supplier to report the dispensation.
  - Special Medical Care Facility – Distributing product to a nursing home or hospice.
  - Medical Practitioner – Distributing product to a doctor or other medical practitioner.
  - Medical Care Facility – Distributing product for medical care.
  - Military – Distributing product to the military.
  - Optical Practitioner – Distributing product to an optometrist or optician.

  - Prison – Distributing product to a prison.
  - University Research Institution – Distributing product to a university that performs research.
  - School – Distributing product to a school.
  - Veterinary – Distributing product to a veterinarian or a veterinary retailer.
5. Select a Restrict Market? radio button:
  - Yes – Warehouse operators cannot change the Market value when entering serial numbers in any function.
  - No – (default) Warehouse operators can change the Market value when entering serial numbers in any function.
Select Submit.
The Applications screen displays, and TraceLink applies the saved configuration the next time a user opens a Smart Inventory Tracker function.

Configure Master Data Elements for Printing

Select Applications from the Management landing page.

Expand the Management Navigation in the header of any screen, and select Applications.
Search for the Smart Inventory Tracker app where My Company's Role is Owner.
Select the Configure Printing icon in the Actions column.
In the SGTIN Master Data Elements section:
1. Select New Element in the header of the table.
2. Enter a Master Data Element to include in the barcode:
  - Printer Integration Name – The name of the printer used in the synchronous message sent from TraceLink to the external printer application when the warehouse operator prints the barcode.
  - Print Template Name – The name of the print template recognized by the external printer application. This element uses the Homogeneous Print Template Name for SGTINs and SSCCs containing children with the same product and lot number and the Mixed Print Template Name for SSCCs with different products or lot numbers.
  - GTIN AI(01) – The packaging code for the parent container.
  - Child GTIN AI(02) – The packaging code for all children contained within the parent container.
  - Serial Number AI(21) – The serial number for the individual container, without the packaging code.
  - Serial Number AI(01)+AI(21) – The full serial number for the container, including the packaging code.
  - Lot AI(10) – The lot or batch number of all children within the parent container.
  - Expiration Date AI(17) – The expiration date of all children within the parent container, in the format "YYMMDD".
  - Expiration Date (variable format) – The expiration date of all children within the parent container, in the format specified by a Manager for this serial number template.
  - LSU Quantity AI(30) – The total count of eaches (i.e. lowest saleable units) aggregated to the parent container.
  - LSU Quantity (Even Digits) – The total count of eaches (i.e. lowest saleable units) aggregated to the parent container, with a leading zero added if the quantity is an odd number of digits.
  - Count of trade items AI(37) – The total count of first-level (i.e. immediate) children within the parent container.
  - Count of trade items (Even Digits) – The total count of first-level (i.e. immediate) children within the parent container, with a leading zero added if the quantity is an odd number of digits.
  - Packaging UOM – The packaging level (i.e. unit of measure) of the parent container that needs a barcode printed:
  - - Pallet – Cases grouped together on a pallet.
    - Case/Shipper – A grouping of inner packs/bundles or a grouping of eaches if the packaging hierarchy does not include inner packs/bundles.
    - Inner Pack/Bundle – A grouping of eaches (i.e. lowest saleable units).
  - Packaging UOM Integration Name – The value representing the packaging level of the parent container in the synchronous message sent from TraceLink to the external printer application when the warehouse operator prints the barcode.
  - Item Code – The item code value that all children within the parent container are commissioned with.
  - Item Code Type – The corresponding item code type that all children within the parent container are commissioned with.
  - Item Information - Product Description – The description of the product in Product Master Data (where Language Code is English).
  - Item Information - Product Code – The regulatory product code associated with the product in China, or an additional product code in other Target Markets (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data.
  - Item Information - Product Name – The name of the product (where Language Code is English).
  - Item Information - Generic Name – The chemical or non-proprietary name of the product (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data.
  - Item Information - Manufacturer – The name of the manufacturer or repackager as it appears on the product label (where Language Code is English).
  - Item Information - Manufacturer ID – The identifier of the manufacturer (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data.
  - Item Information - Strength – The strength of the product (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data.
  - Item Information - Drug Composition – The chemical composition of the product (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data.

  - Item Information - Remarks – Product-related instructions or comments not described in the other elements (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data.
  - Manufacturing Date – The manufacturing date of all children within the parent container, in the format YYMMDD. TraceLink sends the Manufacturing Date element as "Mixed" if all children do not share the same item code and lot number.
  - Manufacturing Location Name – The company or location name present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location name of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.
  - Manufacturing Location Street 1 – The company or location street 1 present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location street 1 of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.
  - Manufacturing Location Street 2 – The company or location street 2 present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location street 2 of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.
  - Manufacturing Location City – The company or location city present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location city of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.
  - Manufacturing Location State or Region – The company or location state or region present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location state or region of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.
  - Manufacturing Location Country – The company or location country present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location country of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.
  - Manufacturing Location Postal Code – The company or location postal code present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location postal code of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.
  - Russia Crypto Key AI(91) – The encrypted key portion of the serial number's crypto code, generated by the CRPT Order Management System (OMS) in Russia.
  - Russia Crypto Code AI(92) – The encrypted code portion of the serial number's crypto code, generated by the CRPT Order Management System (OMS) in Russia.
  - User Defined Field – A value that must be entered by the warehouse operator while printing the barcode. The Display Name must reflect the field label that the warehouse operator sees on the mobile app.
3. Enter the Variable Name that the external printing application requires for the Master Data Element (required if a Master Data Element is entered in the row). This Variable Name is used in the synchronous message that Smart Inventory Tracker sends to the external printing application.
4. Enter the Display Name that warehouse operators see on the mobile app when they print a barcode (displays and is required only if the Master Data Element is User Defined Field).
5. Select New Element to add another Master Data Element row.
In the SSCC Master Data Elements section:
1. Select New Element in the header of the table.
2. Enter a Master Data Element to include in the barcode:
  - Printer Integration Name – The name of the printer used in the synchronous message sent from TraceLink to the external printer application when the warehouse operator prints the barcode.
  - Print Template Name – The name of the print template recognized by the external printer application. This element uses the Homogeneous Print Template Name for SGTINs and SSCCs containing children with the same product and lot number and the Mixed Print Template Name for SSCCs with different products or lot numbers.
  - SSCC AI(00) – The SSCC serial number provisioned by Serial Number Exchange.
  - GTIN AI(01) – The packaging code for the parent container. TraceLink sends this element without a value if all children do not share the same packaging code or the packaging code is not present in Product Master Data.
  - Include this element in SSCC barcodes to print the GTIN of the children on the label (e.g. to comply with Saudi Arabia regulatory requirements).
  - Child GTIN AI(02) – The packaging code for all children contained within the parent container. TraceLink sends this element as "Mixed" if all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - Lot AI(10) – The lot or batch number of all children within the parent container. TraceLink sends this element as "Mixed" if all children do not share the same packaging code and lot number.
  - Expiration Date AI(17) – The expiration date of all children within the parent container, in the format "YYMMDD". TraceLink sends this element as "Mixed" if all children do not share the same packaging code and lot number.
  - Expiration Date (variable format) – The expiration date of all children within the parent container, in the format specified by a Manager for this serial number template. TraceLink sends this element as "Mixed" if all children do not share the same packaging code and lot number.

TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data or all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - Item Information - Product Name – The name of the product (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - Item Information - Generic Name – The chemical or non-proprietary name of the product (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data or all children do not share the same packaging code.

  - Item Information - Dosage Form – The form the product is dispensed in (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data or all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - Item Information - EMVS Dosage Form – The form the product is dispensed in according to the EU's standard set of values (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data or all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - Item Information - Package Size / Spec – The number of individual doses in the pack (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data or all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - Item Information - EMVS Pack Code – The way the product is packaged to be sold according to the EU's standard set of values (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data or all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - Item Information - Remarks – Product-related instructions or comments not described in the other elements (where Language Code is English). TraceLink sends this element without a value if it does not exist in Product Master Data or all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - Manufacturing Date – The manufacturing date of all children within the parent container, in the format YYMMDD. TraceLink sends the Manufacturing Date element as "Mixed" if all children do not share the same item code and lot number.
  - Manufacturing Location Name – The company or location name present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location name of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.
  - Manufacturing Location Street 1 – The company or location street 1 present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location street 1 of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.
  - Manufacturing Location Street 2 – The company or location street 2 present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location street 2 of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.
  - Manufacturing Location City – The company or location city present in Master Data. When configured, the company or location city of the manufacturing location SGLN that is populated for Each-level items is printed for homogeneous containers and "MIXED" is printed for heterogeneous containers.

  - Delivery PO Number – The PO number associated to the delivery. The PO number is retrieved from the transaction identifier list that is updated for a delivery in Serialized Operations Manager. If there is no PO number for a delivery or there are multiple PO numbers, the Delivery PO Number is blank.
  - User Defined Field – A value that must be entered by the warehouse operator while printing the barcode. The Display Name must reflect the field label that the warehouse operator sees on the mobile app.
  - Ship From Location Name – The name of the TraceLink Owner or Partner that ships the goods.
  - Ship From Address Line 1 – The first line of the street address for ship from location.
  - Ship From Address Line 2 – The second line of the street address for ship from location.
  - Ship From City – The city in which the ship from location is located.
  - Ship From State or Province – The state or province in which the ship from location is located.
  - Ship From Postal Code – The zip or other postal code of the ship from location.
  - Ship From Country – The country the product is shipped from.
  - Ship To Location Name – The name of the TraceLink Owner or Partner that receives the goods.
  - Ship To Address Line 1 – The first line of the street address for ship to location.
  - Ship To Address Line 2 – The second line of the street address for ship to location.
  - Ship To City – The city in which the ship to location is located.
  - Ship To State or Province – The state or province in which the ship to location is located.
  - Ship To Postal Code – The zip or other postal code of the ship to location.
  - (420) Ship To Postal Code – The zip or other postal code, including the GS1 application identifier, of the ship to location.
  - Ship To Country – The country the product is shipped to.
  - Delivery Number – Number that uniquely identifies the shipment.
  - Delivery Bill of Lading Number – A carrier-issued document number that serves as a shipment receipt once the product is delivered to the predetermined destination.
  - (400) Delivery Bill of Lading Number – A carrier-issued document number, including the GS1 application identifier, that serves as a shipment receipt once the product is delivered to the predetermined destination.
  - Delivery PRO Number – The transportation carrier progressive number assigned to an individual shipment.
  - Transportation Carrier – Transportation carrier that ships the goods.
3. Enter the Variable Name that the external printing application requires for the Master Data Element (required if a Master Data Element is entered in the row). This Variable Name is used in the synchronous message that Smart Inventory Tracker sends to the external printing application.
4. Enter the Display Name that warehouse operators see on the mobile app when they print a barcode (displays and is required only if the Master Data Element is User Defined Field).
5. Select New Element to add another Master Data Element row.
Select Submit.
The Applications screen displays, and TraceLink applies the saved configuration the next time a user opens a Smart Inventory Tracker function that uses a printer.

Configure the App at the Location Level

Configure Warehouse Operations

Select Applications from the Management landing page.
or
Expand the Management Navigation in the header of any screen, and select Applications.
Search for the Smart Inventory Tracker app where My Company's Role is Partner and the Linked Entity Type is Location.
Select the Configure Location icon in the Actions column.
Select the Override Company Configuration checkbox to enable the configuration options for this location. When selected, the location's configuration options take precedence over the company configuration.
In the Warehouse Operations section:
1. Select an Allow Aggregation of Mixed SSCCs? radio button to set which product and lot combinations warehouse operators are allowed to aggregate to SSCCs in the Manage Containers - Existing Container and New SSCC functions:
  - Mixed Product / Mixed Lot – (default) Child serial numbers aggregated to an SSCC parent container can have different packaging codes or different lot numbers.
  - Same Product / Mixed Lot – Child serial numbers aggregated to an SSCC parent container must have the same packaging code but can have different lot numbers.
  - Same Product / Same Lot – Child serial numbers aggregated to an SSCC parent container must have the same packaging code and same lot number.
2. Select an Allow Creation of New Deliveries? radio button:
  - Yes – If a warehouse operator enters a delivery number that does not exist in Serialized Operations Manager, Smart Inventory Tracker prompts the warehouse operator to enter the required delivery information, saves that information, and then sends the delivery to Serialized Operations Manager to be created.
  - No – (default) If a warehouse operator enters a delivery number that does not exist in Serialized Operations Manager, Smart Inventory Tracker returns an error.
3. Select a Receive Partial deliveries? radio button:
  - Yes – Smart Inventory Tracker allows warehouse operators to receive product in a shipment without having physically received the entire shipment. Warehouse operators can choose either of these options:
    - Save the delivery – Smart Inventory Tracker sets the Item Status to Available for the serial numbers received. The delivery is updated to an unsubmitted state.
    - Complete the delivery – Smart Inventory Tracker sets the Item Status to Available for all the serial numbers in the delivery. The delivery is updated to a submitted state. Additional serial numbers are prevented from being received against the delivery number.
  - No – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker requires Deliveries to be received in full before warehouse operators can submit a receipt.
4. Select the Default Item Status that displays for warehouse operators in the Update Number Status - Available function:
  - None – (default) No default Item Status displays.
  - Available – The item is available for picking.
  - Blocked – The item is unavailable for picking.
  - Pending Receipt – The transfer of ownership is in an interim state because the shipment awaits receipt confirmation at the receiving location.
  - Picked – There is an item reservation against a specific outbound delivery indicating item picking is complete.
  - Received – There is an item reservation against a specific outbound delivery indicating items are received.
  - Shipped – The transfer of ownership is in an interim state because the shipment is in transit to the receiving location.
  - Under Investigation – The item is quarantined or in a holding state due to a product investigation. The serial number cannot be included in a sales shipment.
5. Select the Default Sale Type that displays for warehouse operators in the Ship function:
  - None – (default) No default Sale Type displays.
  - Return - Export – Product returned to the supplier, shipped from one country to another.
  - Return - In Country – Product returned to the supplier, shipped within the same country.
  - Sale - Export – A sale and distribution made from one country to another.
  - Sale - In Country – A sale and distribution made within the same country.
  - Transfer - Export – A transfer within a company or with a Partner, such as a 3PL or CMO, shipped from one country to another.
  - Transfer - In Country – A transfer within a company or with a Partner, such as a 3PL or CMO, shipped within the same country.
6. Select the Default Supply Type that displays for warehouse operators in the Ship function:
  - None – (default) No default Supply Type displays.
  - Agency Ordered Destruction – Return of a product for destruction as ordered by a government agency.
  - Civil Protection Emergency Distribution – Distribution of product to authorized parties (e.g. police) for civil protection and disaster control.
  - Collection – Return of recalled product (displays only if the Ship From Country is not South Korea).
  - Contract Manufacturer Buyback – A return sale back to the CMO.
  - Court Ordered Destruction – Return of product for court ordered destruction.
  - Customs Clearance Distribution – Product that is received into an importer’s warehouse after customs clearance.
  - Customs Sale – Sale of product previously seized by a customs agency.
  - Customs Zone Transfer – Product that is transferred between customs zones.
  - Dental Practitioner Distribution – Distribution of product to a dental practitioner.
  - Destruction Distribution – Return of product for company-initiated destruction.
  - Donation – Distribution of product for donation.
  - Emergency Medical Practitioner Distribution – Distribution of product to a paramedic or emergency medical practitioner.
  - Exempted Dispenser – Suppliers mark a product as Dispensed before a dispenser receives it.
  - Free of Charge Distribution – Free sales that are neither Donations nor Sample Distributions.
  - Medical Care Distribution – Distribution of product for medical care.
  - Medical Practitioner Distribution – Distribution of product to a doctor or other medical practitioner.
  - Military Distribution – Distribution of product to the military.
  - Optical Practitioner Distribution – Distribution of product to an optometrist or optician.
  - Patient Distribution – Distribution of product to a patient.
  - Pharmaceuticals Provider Distribution – Distribution of product to a provider.
  - Prison Distribution – Distribution of product to a prison.
  - Re-Export Distribution – Product that is produced in Country A, and then imported into and subsequently re-exported from Country B.
  - Re-Export Embargo Distribution – Product that is produced in Country A, and then imported into and subsequently re-exported from Country B due to an embargo placed on the product.
  - Re-Export Sanctions Distribution – Product that is produced in Country A, and then imported into and subsequently re-exported from Country B due to imposed sanctions.
  - Research University Distribution – Distribution of product to a research institution (e.g. universities that perform research).
  - Safety & Life Reserves Distribution – Distribution of product to a retail pharmacy.
  - Sample Distribution – Distribution of product as free samples.
  - School Distribution – Distribution of product to a school.
  - Special Medical Care Distribution – Distribution of product to a nursing home or hospice.
  - Veterinary Distribution – Distribution of product to a veterinarian or a veterinary retailer.
  - Withdrawn Product Collection – Withdrawn goods are collected and returned to the Pharmaceutical Manufacturer.
7. Select an Allow Commissioning of Preprinted Labels? radio button:
  - Yes – If a warehouse operator scans an SSCC or SGTIN parent container that has a Serial Number Status of Encoded or does not exist in Serialized Operations Manager, Smart Inventory Tracker sends the serial number and associated aggregation information to Serialized Operations Manager, which commissions the serial number. Individual serial number templates must be made available for commissioning on the Printing Configuration for [Location Name] screen.
    The serial number must be printed and then scanned to be commissioned. Manually entered serial numbers that have a Serial Number Status of Encoded or do not exist in Serialized Operations Manager result in an error.
  - No – (default) If a warehouse operator scans an SSCC or SGTIN parent container that has a Serial Number Status of Encoded or does not exist in Serialized Operations Manager, Smart Inventory Tracker returns an error.
8. Select an Allow Serial Number Registration? radio button:
  - Allow With Master Data – If a warehouse operator enters a GTIN or NTIN serial number that is not already in SOM, TraceLink registers this serial number if the GTIN or NTIN is present in the company's product master data.
  - Allow Without Master Data – If a warehouse operator enters a GTIN or NTIN serial number in a US target market that is not already in SOM, SOM searches for the packaging code in the company's product master data. If the packaging code is not present in MDX, SOM then searches for the NDC from the packaging code in IBM Micromedex® RED BOOK® or TraceLink's NDC database (which relies on data from the FDA), registers the serial number, and adds the GTIN or NTIN to the company's product master data. Serial numbers without existing master data entries can be registered only in the Receive function.
  - Do Not Allow – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker returns an error if a warehouse operator enters a serial number that is not found in SOM.
9. Select whether warehouse operators can Ship or Save Shipments? from the radio buttons:
  - Ship – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker displays the Ship button, which sends the delivery number and its associated serial numbers to Serialized Operations Manager in a submitted state.
  - Save – Smart Inventory Tracker displays the Save button, which sends the delivery number and its associated serial numbers to Serialized Operations Manager in an unsubmitted state.
  - Warehouse Operator Decides – Smart Inventory Tracker displays the Submit button, which allows warehouse operators to choose whether to ship or save the delivery number in a dialog box.
10. Select how warehouse operators identify receipts from the Receive By? radio buttons:
  - Delivery Number – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker displays the Delivery Number field to warehouse operators when they open the Receive and Return functions.
  - Transaction ID or Serial Number – Smart Inventory Tracker displays the Transaction ID or Serial Number field to warehouse operators when they open the Receive and Return functions. The mobile app then finds all unsubmitted delivery numbers associated with that transaction ID or serial number for the warehouse operator to select from.
11. Select a Receive Child Items with Implicit Disaggregation from Parent? radio button:
  - Yes – Smart Inventory Tracker allows warehouse operators to receive products below the container level. If the received serial numbers are children that belong to a parent container on the receipt, those received child serial numbers are implicitly disaggregated from their parent container and marked as Available, while the others in the container, and the parent container itself, remain in the Pending Receipt Item Status.
  - No – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker does not allow warehouse operators to receive products below the container level and prompted to receive using only the parent container.
12. Select an Allow Aggregation at the Same Packaging Level? radio button:
  - Yes – Smart Inventory Tracker allows warehouse operators to aggregate a child serial number into a parent container with the same packaging level (i.e. Pallet into Pallet, Case into Case, Inner Pack into Inner Pack).
  - No – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker does not allow aggregation at the same packaging level and continues to check for a valid packaging level, packaging ratio, and packaging quantity.
13. Select a Receive the Serial Number Used to Search a Receipt? radio button:
  - Yes – (default) For a parent serial number, Smart Inventory Tracker associates the parent and all its child serial numbers to the delivery. For a child serial number, Smart Inventory Tracker disaggregates the child from its parent and associates the serial number (and its children, if any) to the delivery.
  - No – Smart Inventory Tracker does not associate the serial number that is used to search for a receipt.
14. Select an Allow Multiple Barcode Scan At Once? radio button:
  - Yes – Handheld devices are enabled to scan multiple barcodes in a single scan.
  - No – (default) Handheld devices can scan single barcode at a time.
  The multiple barcode scan feature is currently supported on the following Zebra handheld devices, and validated by TraceLink: Zebra MC3300, MC3300x, MC9300, MC9400, TC70x, TC72, TC77, TC51, and TC52.
Select Submit.
The Applications screen displays, and TraceLink applies the saved configuration the next time a user opens a Smart Inventory Tracker function.

  - No – (default) Smart Inventory Tracker returns an error when a warehouse operator enters an SSCC barcode.
2. If Allow SSCC Each-level Retrieval? is Yes and TraceLink is not the Owner's SOR:
  1. Enter an External System URL for Each-level Retrieval where TraceLink retrieves the SSCC's lowest saleable unit from (optional).
  2. Enter a Username with access to the external SOR (required if an External System URL for Each-level Retrieval is entered).
  3. Enter the corresponding Password for the Username (required if an External System URL for Each-level Retrieval is entered).
3. Select the Default Event Type that displays for warehouse operators in the Update Number Status and Undo Number Status functions:
  - None (default)
  - Damaged – The product is damaged (only available for Update Number Status).
  - Destroyed – The product is terminated (only available for Update Number Status).
  - Received – The product is received in a shipment (only available for Update Number Status in US Markets).
  - Stolen – The product is stolen (only available for Update Number Status).
  - Shipped – The product is shipped (only available for Undo Number Status).
  - Sampled by Authorities – The product is sampled by government authorities.
  - Under Investigation – The product is quarantined, locked, or in a holding state due to an investigation. The serial number cannot be included in a sales shipment.
4. Select the Default Supply Type that displays for warehouse operators in the Ship and Undo Number Status (if the Event Type is Shipped) functions:
  - None (default)
  - Export – Exporting product to another country.
  - Free Sample – Distributing product as free samples.
  - Civil Protection – Distributing product to authorized authorities (e.g. police) for civil protection.
  - Emergency – Distributing product to authorized authorities (e.g. police) for disaster control.
  - Dental Practitioner – Distributing product to dental practitioners.

Configure Printers, Print Templates, and Master Data Elements

Select Applications from the Management landing page.

Expand the Management Navigation in the header of any screen, and select Applications.
Search for the Smart Inventory Tracker app where My Company's Role is Owner.
Select the Configure Printing icon in the Actions column.
Smart Inventory Tracker Managers must also belong to the location's link to Serial Number Exchange to access this screen.
In the Printer Configuration section:
1. Select the third-party External Printer Application that formats and prints the barcode label:
  - BarTender
  - CODESOFT
2. Select the Print Request Format for the synchronous message sent from TraceLink to the External Printer Application (enabled and required if the External Printer Application is BarTender):
  - XML
  - JSON
  Displays as read-only XML if the External Printer Application is CODESOFT.
3. Select the Printer Server Protocol Method used to communicate with the external printer application:
  - SFTP
  - REST
4. Select Printer in the header of the table.
5. Enter the Printer Display Name for the printer that the warehouse operators recognize and can select in the mobile app.
6. Enter the External System URL for Print Jobs that TraceLink sends the synchronous message to when the warehouse operator prints the barcode.
  - If the Printer Server Protocol Method is SFTP, include both the host and the path in the URL (e.g. "my.server.com:path/to/printer2/").
  - If the Printer Server Protocol Method is REST, do not include the "http://" in the beginning of the URL (e.g. "10.20.410.34:3245/path/to/printer1/").
7. Enter the Username that TraceLink uses to authenticate the synchronous message sent to the external printer application.
8. Enter the corresponding Password.
9. Select Printer to add another Printer row.
In the Packaging Code Metadata section:
For locations with 50 or fewer packaging codes:
- Import a CSV file with packaging code metadata:
  1. Select the Import Packaging Code Metadata radio button.
  2. Select Choose File.
  3. Browse for and select the desired CSV File (see Formatting the CSV File for more information).
  or
- Edit packaging code metadata in the table:
  1. Select the Make Available in Smart Inventory Tracker checkbox to make the serial number template available for warehouse operators to commission preprinted barcodes or print new barcodes and commission those serial numbers for GTIN or NTIN packaging codes or for GS1 Company Prefix templates.
  2. Select a Packaging UOM (i.e. unit of measure) for the template (displays and is required only for GS1 Company Prefix templates):
    Pallet – Cases grouped together on a pallet.
    Case/Shipper – A grouping of inner packs/bundles or a grouping of eaches if the packaging hierarchy does not include inner packs/bundles.
    Inner Pack/Bundle – A grouping of eaches (i.e. lowest saleable units).
  3. Enter an Expiration Date Format for the Expiration Date (variable format) master data element, if included in the barcode (optional). Valid values are:

  4. Enter a Packaging UOM Integration Name that represents the packaging level of the parent container in the synchronous message sent from TraceLink to the external printer application when the warehouse operator prints the barcode (optional).
  5. Enter a Homogeneous Print Template Name recognized by the external printer application (optional). This template name is for parent containers with children that have the same product and lot number.
  6. Enter the Mixed Print Template Name recognized by the external printer application (displays and is optional only for GS1 Company Prefixes). This template name is for parent containers with children that have different products or lot numbers.
For locations with more than 50 packaging codes:
1. Select the Import Packaging Code Metadata radio button.
2. Select Choose File.
3. Browse for and select the desired CSV File (see Formatting the CSV File for more information).
In the SGTIN Master Data Elements section:
1. Select the Override Company Configuration checkbox to enable the master data elements for this location. When selected, the location's master data elements take precedence over the company's.
2. Select New Element in the header of the table.
3. Enter a Master Data Element to include in the barcode:
  - Printer Integration Name – The name of the printer used in the synchronous message sent from TraceLink to the external printer application when the warehouse operator prints the barcode.
  - Print Template Name – The name of the print template recognized by the external printer application. This element uses the Homogeneous Print Template Name for SGTINs and SSCCs containing children with the same product and lot number and the Mixed Print Template Name for SSCCs with different products or lot numbers.
  - GTIN AI(01) – The packaging code for the parent container.
  - Child GTIN AI(02) – The packaging code for all children contained within the parent container.
  - Serial Number AI(21) – The serial number for the individual container, without the packaging code.
  - Serial Number AI(01)+AI(21) – The full serial number for the container, including the packaging code.
  - Lot AI(10) – The lot or batch number of all children within the parent container.
  - Expiration Date AI(17) – The expiration date of all children within the parent container, in the format "YYMMDD".
  - Expiration Date (variable format) – The expiration date of all children within the parent container, in the format specified by a Manager for this serial number template.
  - LSU Quantity AI(30) – The total count of eaches (i.e. lowest saleable units) aggregated to the parent container.
  - LSU Quantity (Even Digits) – The total count of eaches (i.e. lowest saleable units) aggregated to the parent container, with a leading zero added if the quantity is an odd number of digits.
  - Count of trade items AI(37) – The total count of first-level (i.e. immediate) children within the parent container.
  - Count of trade items (Even Digits) – The total count of first-level (i.e. immediate) children within the parent container, with a leading zero added if the quantity is an odd number of digits.

  - Russia Crypto Key AI(91) – The encrypted key portion of the serial number's crypto code, generated by the CRPT Order Management System (OMS) in Russia.
  - Russia Crypto Code AI(92) – The encrypted code portion of the serial number's crypto code, generated by the CRPT Order Management System (OMS) in Russia.
  - User Defined Field – A value that must be entered by the warehouse operator while printing the barcode. The Display Name must reflect the field label that the warehouse operator sees on the mobile app.
4. Enter the Variable Name that the external printing application requires for the Master Data Element (required if a Master Data Element is entered in the row). This Variable Name is used in the synchronous message that Smart Inventory Tracker sends to the external printing application.
5. Enter the Display Name that warehouse operators see on the mobile app when they print a barcode (displays and is required only if the Master Data Element is User Defined Field).
6. Select New Element to add another Master Data Element row.
In the SSCC Master Data Elements section:
1. Select the Override Company Configuration checkbox to enable the master data elements for this location. When selected, the location's master data elements take precedence over the company's.
2. Select New Element in the header of the table.
3. Enter a Master Data Element to include in the barcode:
  - Printer Integration Name – The name of the printer used in the synchronous message sent from TraceLink to the external printer application when the warehouse operator prints the barcode.
  - Print Template Name – The name of the print template recognized by the external printer application. This element uses the Homogeneous Print Template Name for SGTINs and SSCCs containing children with the same product and lot number and the Mixed Print Template Name for SSCCs with different products or lot numbers.
  - SSCC AI(00) – The SSCC serial number provisioned by Serial Number Exchange.
  - GTIN AI(01) – The packaging code for the parent container. TraceLink sends this element without a value if all children do not share the same packaging code or the packaging code is not present in Product Master Data.
  - Include this element in SSCC barcodes to print the GTIN of the children on the label (e.g. to comply with Saudi Arabia regulatory requirements).
  - Child GTIN AI(02) – The packaging code for all children contained within the parent container. TraceLink sends this element as "Mixed" if all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - Lot AI(10) – The lot or batch number of all children within the parent container. TraceLink sends this element as "Mixed" if all children do not share the same packaging code and lot number.
  - Expiration Date AI(17) – The expiration date of all children within the parent container, in the format "YYMMDD". TraceLink sends this element as "Mixed" if all children do not share the same packaging code and lot number.
  - Expiration Date (variable format) – The expiration date of all children within the parent container, in the format specified by a Manager for this serial number template. TraceLink sends this element as "Mixed" if all children do not share the same packaging code and lot number.
  - LSU Quantity AI(30) – The total count of eaches (i.e. lowest saleable units) aggregated to the parent container. TraceLink sends this element without a value if all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - LSU Quantity (Even Digits) – The total count of eaches (i.e. lowest saleable units) aggregated to the parent container, with a leading zero added if the quantity is an odd number of digits. TraceLink sends this element without a value if all children do not share the same packaging code.
  - Count of trade items AI(37) – The total count of first-level (i.e. immediate) children within the parent container. TraceLink sends this element without a value if all children do not share the same packaging code.

  - Ship From Location Name – The name of the TraceLink Owner or Partner that ships the goods.
  - Ship From Address Line 1 – The first line of the street address for ship from location.
  - Ship From Address Line 2 – The second line of the street address for ship from location.
  - Ship From City – The city in which the ship from location is located.
  - Ship From State or Province – The state or province in which the ship from location is located.
  - Ship From Postal Code – The zip or other postal code of the ship from location.
  - Ship From Country – The country the product is shipped from.
  - Ship To Location Name – The name of the TraceLink Owner or Partner that receives the goods.
  - Ship To Address Line 1 – The first line of the street address for ship to location.
  - Ship To Address Line 2 – The second line of the street address for ship to location.
  - Ship To City – The city in which the ship to location is located.
  - Ship To State or Province – The state or province in which the ship to location is located.
  - Ship To Postal Code – The zip or other postal code of the ship to location.
  - (420) Ship To Postal Code – The zip or other postal code, including the GS1 application identifier, of the ship to location.
  - Ship To Country – The country the product is shipped to.
  - Delivery Number – Number that uniquely identifies the shipment.
  - Delivery Bill of Lading Number – A carrier-issued document number that serves as a shipment receipt once the product is delivered to the predetermined destination.
  - (400) Delivery Bill of Lading Number – A carrier-issued document number, including the GS1 application identifier, that serves as a shipment receipt once the product is delivered to the predetermined destination.
  - Delivery PRO Number – The transportation carrier progressive number assigned to an individual shipment.
  - Transportation Carrier – Transportation carrier that ships the goods.
4. Enter the Variable Name that the external printing application requires for the Master Data Element (required if a Master Data Element is entered in the row). This Variable Name is used in the synchronous message that Smart Inventory Tracker sends to the external printing application.
5. Enter the Display Name that warehouse operators see on the mobile app when they print a barcode (displays and is required only if the Master Data Element is User Defined Field).
6. Select New Element to add another Master Data Element row.
Select Submit.
The Applications screen displays, and TraceLink applies the saved configuration the next time a user opens a Smart Inventory Tracker function that uses a printer.
