Record Exceptions

As of the current SOM release, exceptions can be recorded in SOM. However, the exceptions will be integrated with the Supply Chain Work Management (SCWM) solution in a future Agile Process Teams (APT) release.

Once complete, this action can not be undone.

  1. Select the RECORD EXCEPTION button on the Update Receipt screen.

    The Record Exception for Receipt [Delivery Number] dialog box displays.

  2. Select the Confirm button.

    The dialog box closes, and the Record Exception screen displays.

  3. Select a Type from the drop-down.
  4. Enter Serial Numbers by scanning the bar code.

    If the Type selected is Data, No Product, all serial numbers in the Pending Receipt Item Status contained in the delivery displays.

  5. Enter the Description.
  6. Select the SUBMIT button.

    The Confirm Record Exceptions dialog displays.

  7. Select the Confirm button.

    The confirmation message "Exception [Exception Number] is created with Exception Type [Exception Type] for Receipt [Delivery Number]" displays at the top of the Update Receipt screen along with the Exception Details table.

Search for Recorded Exceptions

  1. Select Exceptions on the left of any screen in Serialized Operations Manager.

  2. Select View Exceptions.

  3. Select the desired entity in the Show Data From drop-down at the top of the screen.
  4. Enter Exception ID in the text field.

  5. Select the Exception Type from the drop-down.

  6. Enter the Delivery Number in the text field.
    7. The Delivery Number must not contain only special characters. However, a single asterisk (*) is allowed as search criteria which displays all the results in the table.

  7. Select the Date On Or After from the date picker.

  8. Select the Date On Or Before from the date picker.

  9. Select the Search button.

    The results display in the table.

 

  • Select the Exception ID link in the first column for any row from the Search results table.

    The View Exception screen displays.

  • Select the Download Exception Serial Numbers link at the bottom of the screen in the Exception Details section on the View Exception screen.

    The CSV file downloads.
