Annotate Product Information

Overview

  1. Select the Annotate Product icon () in the Actions column of the View Transaction Histories screen.
  2. Select the Annotate button on the View Transaction History Details: Processed Receipt or Received Product with Annotations screens.

Annotate the Lot Number and Expiration Date within a received Transaction History.

Only Owners configured as Dispensers in Company Administration can access this screen.

Dispensers configured to Resell Product can resell product with a Transaction History that contains annotations, but the resulting Transaction History does not display the annotations and cannot be annotated itself.

Getting Started

Dispensers cannot edit the Transaction History provided by the Wholesale Distributor. However, if the Lot Number or Expiration Date in the Transaction History is missing or incorrect, Dispensers can add an Annotated Lot Number or Annotated Expiration Date to reference within their own instance of Product Track.

Annotating product information does not change the legal Transaction History.

Product Information

  • NDC – The item code of the product in the Transaction History.
  • Product Name – The name of the product.
  • Strength – The strength of the product.
  • Dosage Form – The form the product is dispensed in, e.g. tablet or pill, etc.
  • Container Size – The number of doses in each individual item.
  • Lot Number – The lot number associated with the product.
  • Expiration Date – The date that the product expires.
  • Annotated Lot Number – The corrected lot number, entered by a Dispenser user at the site that received the shipment.
  • Annotated Expiration Date – The corrected expiration date, entered by a Dispenser user at the site that received the shipment.

Transaction Information

  • Section Header – The heading for each transaction is "[Sender Company Name] to [Recipient Company Name] - [Transaction Date]."
  • Transaction Date – Date of the sale or transfer of products.
  • Shipment Date – Date the sender shipped the product.
  • Transaction Quantity – The number of individual units of product in the transaction.
  • Transaction Identifier – Shipment transaction identifier(s).
  • Transfer From – Name of the company and address of the location that shipped the product.
  • Transfer To – Name of the company and address of the location that received the product.
  • Transaction Statement – Set within Company Administration . Every transaction that a company performs includes the transaction statement. The transaction statement verifies that the company sending the transaction has complied with federal regulations surrounding product movement.

Exchange Information

This section only displays if the user is a member of the Transfer From or Transfer to company. For example, if a 3PL is shipping product for a Pharmaceutical Manufacturer, they will not be able to view this section.

  • History Received – The date and time that the user's company received the Transaction History.

Receipt Information

This section only displays if the receipt has been processed on the Receive Products in Shipment screen.

  • Receipt Processed – The date and time that a user or Info Exchange processed the receipt.
  • Received Quantity – The actual number of products in the shipment. "(Fully received)" displays if a user marked a shipment Fully Received on the Receive Products in Shipment screen when the shipment contained fewer items than the Transaction History listed.

Annotation Information

This section only displays if an annotation has been added.

  • Annotated – The date and time that a user last added or edited an annotation on the Transaction History.

  1. Enter an Annotated Lot Numberin the text field.
  2. Select an Annotated Expiration Datefrom the date picker.

  3. Select the Submit button.

    The View Transaction History Details screen displays, and the confirmation message "TraceLink is processing the annotated information." displays at the top.
