View Company Master Data

Overview

Hover over Master Data Exchange in the Modules drop-down at the top of the screen, and then select Company Master Data.

  • Search for and view information (e.g. name, address) about companies and their locations.
  • Export Company and Location data to a CSV file. Once exported, a company's locations can be uploaded as Partner Master Data by a trade partner on the TraceLink network or kept as a reference.

Getting Started

  • Selecting more than one search value creates an "AND" search. The results will each include all values entered.
  • To clear all search fields at any time, select Reset.
  • After viewing the details of a specific search result, select View [data] Master Data in the top left corner of the screen to return to the saved search results. Do not click the back button in the browser.
    • E.g. On the View Product Details screen, select View Product Master Data.

Search Criteria

  • Location Name – The name for a specific location.
  • City – The city for a company or location.
  • State/Region – The state or region for a company or location.
  • Company - Location ID – The identifier type for the location(s). The drop-down defaults to All.

  • District – The district for a company or location.
  • Postal Code – The postal code for a company or location.
  • Country – The country for a company or location.
  • Company - Location License – The country, state or region, and license number.
  • Data Type – The type of entity returned in the results table.
    • All (default)
    • Company – Only data for companies displays in the results table.
    • Location – Only data for companies' locations displays in the results table.
    • Affiliate – Only data for locations that are another business entity or subsidiary of the company displays in the results table.
  • Data Status – Whether the master data returned in the results table is active or inactive.
    • All
    • Active – The data can be used in messages and UI functions, and TraceLink pulls the data when necessary.
    • Inactive – The data cannot be pulled for other functions within TraceLink.

Available Actions

If the Search Fields are not visible, select the blue arrow to the left of Search Criteria section.

  1. Enter the Location Name in the text field.

    Use an asterisk (*) in this field to expand search results.

  2. Enter the City in the text field.
  3. Enter the State / Region in the text field.
  4. Select the Company - Location ID from the drop-down and enter the corresponding value in the text field to the right.
  5. Enter the District in the text field.
  6. Enter the Postal Code in the text field.
  7. Enter the Country in the type-ahead field.
  8. Enter the country, state or region, and license number for the Company - Location License in the 3 text fields.
  9. Select the Data Type from the drop-down.
  10. Select the Data Status from the drop-down.
  11. Select Search.

    The results display in the table.

  • Select View Details in the Actions column for any row containing a Data Type of Company.

    The View Company Details screen displays.

If opening in Excel, follow the procedure in Opening Exported CSV Reports with Excel.

  • Export filtered company data:
    • Select Export Filtered Company Data to CSV above the search results table.

      Only the company data returned by the current search exports to the CSV file.

  • Export filtered location data:
    • Select Export Filtered Location Data to CSV above the search results table.

      Only the location data returned by the current search exports to the CSV file.
