Event Triggers

As of 21 Feb 2021, India Compliance supports only reports intended for India's new iVEDA portal. Reports intended for the discontinued DAVA portal no longer generate but remain in the Web UI for historical purposes.

India Compliance Reports generate based off certain events that occur within TraceLink. When these events are triggered, TraceLink generates the India Government message directly to the India Compliance app.

If the India Compliance app fails to generate the report due to insufficient data, an Info Exchange error generates in the India Compliance app and email alerts will be sent to users who have opted in to receive them. See Troubleshooting for more information.

Event Event Description Conditions
Product Master Data Created/Updated Generates an India Product Report

A Product Master Data Created/Updated event occurs via the Master Data Exchange Web UI, CSV import, or MDX_PRODUCT_MASTER message, and the following conditions are met:

  • A new product master data entry is added with an Export From Country of India.

    or

  • An existing product master data entry is updated to have an Export From Country of India.

    or

  • An existing product master data entry with an Export From Country of India is updated in one or more of the following fields:
    • On the Target Markets tab, when the Country Market Code is not India:
      • Product Type
      • Prescription Drug Type
      • Registration Classification
      • Product Category Identifier
    • On the Export Markets tab, when the Export From Country is India:
      • Manufacturer ID Type
      • Manufacturer ID
    • On the Item Information tab, when the Language Code is English:
      • Product Name
      • Generic Name
      • Strength
      • Market Dosage Form
      • Remarks
      • Minimum Temperature
      • Maximum Temperature
      • Temperature Scale
      • Sensitive to Light
    • On the Packaging Information tab:
      • Packaging Code

The Minimum Temperature, Maximum Temperature, Temperature Scale, and Sensitive to Light fields must be completed as follows to report one of the acceptable Storage Condition values defined by the Indian government:

  • To report 2°C - 8°C, the Temperature Scale must be Celsius, the Minimum Temperature must be 2, and the Maximum Temperature must be a value less than or equal to 8.
  • To report -20°C, the Temperature Scale must be Celsius, the Minimum Temperature must be a value less than or equal to -20, and the Maximum Temperature must be -20.
  • To report Below 25°C, the Temperature Scale must be Celsius, the Minimum Temperature must be a value greater than or equal to 8, and the Maximum Temperature must be 25.
  • To report Cool - Dark Place, the Temperature Scale must be Celsius, the Minimum Temperature must be 8, the Maximum Temperature must be 15, and the product must be Sensitive to Light.
  • To report Below 30°C, the Temperature Scale must be Celsius, the Minimum Temperature must be a value greater than or equal to 8, and the Maximum Temperature must be 30.

Product Shipped - Transfer Generates an India Export Tertiary Packaging Report

A Product Shipped - Transfer event occurs via the Serialized Operations Manager Web UI, SOM_SALES_SHIPMENT message, SOM_SHIPMENT_EVENT_IB message, SOM UpdateOrderSales API message, or SOM UpdateOrderShipment API message, and the following conditions are met:

  • The items in the shipment have an Export From Country of India in Product Master Data.
  • The Sale Type is Transfer - Export.
  • The Ship From Country Code is India.
  • The Ship To Country Code is not India.
ESM Product Shipped - Transfer Generates an India Export Tertiary Packaging Report

An ESM Product Shipped - Transfer event occurs via a SOM ESM Shipment message, and the following conditions are met:

  • The items in the shipment have an Export From Country of India in Product Master Data.
  • The Sale Type is Transfer - Export.
  • The Ship From Country Code is India.
  • The Ship To Country Code is not India.
Product Shipped - Sale Generates an India Export Tertiary Packaging Report

A Product Shipped - Sale event occurs via the Serialized Operations Manager Web UI, SOM_SALES_SHIPMENT message, SOM_SHIPMENT_EVENT_IB message, SOM UpdateOrderSales API message, or SOM UpdateOrderShipment API message, and the following conditions are met:

  • The items in the shipment have an Export From Country of India in Product Master Data.
  • The Sale Type is Transfer - Sale.
  • The Ship From Country Code is India.
  • The Ship To Country Code is not India.
ESM Product Shipped - Sale Generates an India Export Tertiary Packaging Report

An ESM Product Shipped - Sale event occurs via a SOM ESM Shipment message, and the following conditions are met:

  • The items in the shipment have an Export From Country of India in Product Master Data.
  • The Sale Type is Transfer - Sale.
  • The Ship From Country Code is India.
  • The Ship To Country Code is not India.
