Data List Values

Select the Set Data List Value icon in the Actions column on the Applications screen for a Change Management or Supplier Issue Tracking app.

Specify the customizable options available in drop-down fields within Change Management or Supplier Issue Tracking by:

• Adding drop-down options to fields.
• Ordering the options within the drop-down field.
• Renaming drop-down options.

The section title displays the following information:

• Owner – The company that owns the app.
• App Name – The name that the Owner assigns to their app.
• Application – The type of app.

• Menu List Value – The field within Change Management or Supplier Issue Tracking. When selected, the options within that drop-down field populate the table below as Values.
  Change Management Menu List Options

  The following table displays the menu list Values and where to find them within Change Management.

  Status		Renaming the corresponding Display Value for any of the following statuses is an option (if left blank, it defaults to the Data Value name). This is the only data list containing static values. Cannot add/remove custom values. Use these values to edit display values.	Changing value names will propagate throughout Closed Report Details, Email Notifications, and CSV Export.

The following columns display in the table for all Menu List Values except Status in Change Management.

• Value – The name or text that users see in the application.
• Show Free Text Entry if Selected – Displays a text field when the user selects the Value (enabled for only Menu List Values that support an "Other" value ).
• Order – Determines the display order of the values.

  Defaults to alphabetic order if left blank.

• Default – Designates the default selection in the drop-down field.

  For Values determined by a Parent Menu List Value (see below), each Parent Menu List Value can have its own Default.

• Enable – Determines whether the value displays in the drop-down field for users to select. If selected, the value displays. If unselected, the value remains hidden.
• Parent Menu List Value – Only displays in the table if the options for a Menu List Value are determined by a previous selection in a drop-down field within the app. Selecting a Parent Menu List Value here means that the Value only displays in Change Management or Supplier Issue Tracking if that Parent Menu List Value is selected in a previous drop-down field.

If the Menu List Value is Status:

For Change Management, if the Menu List Value is Status, the following columns display in the table:

• Data Value – The default TraceLink Status drop-down option.

  This field is static information.

• Display Value – The customizable values that display in Change Management instead of the Data Value.

1. Select a Menu List Value from the drop-down.

   The table displays the existing values associated with the selected field.

2. Select Value.
3. Enter a Value in the text field.
4. Select the Show Free Text Entry If Selected checkbox to add a custom text field when the user selects the Value in the app.
5. Enter an Order number in the text field.
6. Select the Default checkbox, if applicable.
7. Select the Enable checkbox to display the option to users in the app.
8. Select a Parent Menu List Value from the drop-down, if applicable.
9. Select Save.

   TraceLink saves the new menu list values, which display the next time someone uses the app.

• Select the Remove icon in the Actions column.

  The corresponding row disappears.

Error messages display on the screen in red text:
