Get Serial Number Status

Select the Queries drop-down in the left-hand panel.

View the following details about a serial number in the Serialized Operations Manager repository:

• Serial Number Information - View details about the serial number (e.g. type and status).
• Item Information - View the attributes of the product that the serial number represents.
• Delivery Information - View the receipt and shipment information for one or more purchase orders for the serial number.
• Parent Serial Number - View the serial number of the container that the queried serial number is aggregated to.
• Child Serial Numbers - View the serial numbers that are aggregated to the queried serial number.
• Repackaged Serial Number Information - View the details of any repackaging events directly involving the queried serial number.

When scanning, entering, or uploading a file to populate serial numbers, each number must be:

• On a separate row.
• Without any special characters.
• In one of the formats below:

SGTIN Serial Numbers

Used for:

• Items
• Innerpacks
• Bundles
• Cases and Shippers

The format is the AI(01)(21) serial number in barcode format:

1. First is the 01 Application Identifier
2. Followed by the GTIN-14 number
3. Followed by the 21 Application Identifier
4. Followed by the serial number

   Example: 010088202401033921725368249416

SSCC Serial Numbers

Used for:

• Pallets
• Mixed cases

The format is the AI(00) serial number in barcode format:

1. First is the 00 Application Identifier
2. Followed by the SSCC-18 code

   Example: 00008820200000050254

China EDMC Codes

Used for:

• Items
• Innerpacks
• Bundles
• Cases and Shippers

The format is the full 20-digit China serial number, as in this example: 81102302020117515452

• Serial Number - The parent or child serial number to run the query against.

• Serial Number - The serial number for the query.
• Encoding Type - The encoding format of the serial number.
  • AI(01)+AI(21) for serialized GTIN and NTIN numbers
  • AI(00) for SSCC codes
  • CN_EDMC for China numbers
• Commissioning Location - The site-level SGLN of the location where the serial number was commissioned. Defaults to the parent company if no location is provided.
• Serial Number Status - The current serialization state of the serial number.
• Commissioned - The serial number is associated to a lot and product.
• Commissioned and Registered - The serial number is registered in the Owners repository and associated to a lot and product.
• Deactivated - The serial number is deactivated. Only serial numbers in reserved or encoded states may be deactivated. If numbers have been commissioned, then they are either decommissioned or destroyed.
• Decommissioned - The product no longer associates with a serial number.
• Destroyed - The termination of a product and related serial numbers.
• Encoded - The serial number is encoded. This state typically applies to label or carton pre-printing. This state comes after reserved and before commissioned.
• Reserved - An assignment of the serial number's packaging location.
• Unreserved - The removal of the serial number's packaging location assignment.
• Commissioned - The product associates to a serial number and lot.
• Commissioned and Registered - The product associates to a lot and a serial number that is registered in Owners repository.
• Item Status - The state of the serialized item.

  Only displays if Serial Number Status is not "decommission" or "destroy".

  • Available - The item is available for picking.
  • Blocked - The item is unavailable for picking.
  • Pending Receipt - The transfer of ownership is in an interim state because the shipment awaits receipt confirmation at the receiving location.
  • Picked - There is an item reservation against a specific outbound delivery indicating item picking is complete.
  • Received - There is an item reservation against a specific outbound delivery indicating items are received.
  • Shipped - The transfer of ownership is in an interim state because the shipment is in transit to the receiving location.
  • Under Investigation - The item is quarantined or in a holding state due to a product investigation. The serial number cannot be included in a sales shipment.

• Last Delivery Number – The unique identifier of the shipment that the serial number is included in.

  Displays one of the following delivery number types:

  • The shipment delivery number displays if the serial number's Item Status is Shipped, Picked, or if there is not a receipt delivery number.
  • The receipt delivery number displays if the serial number's Item Status is Available, Pending Receipt, Received, Blocked, Under Investigation, or if there is not an order delivery number.
  • When multiple deliveries are received in a single receipt, Delivery Number displays all delivery numbers contained in the receipt with a space as a separator.
• Market Release Markets - A list of Target Markets that the serial number is released into for distribution.

  This field displays only if the product has been released into at least one market.

• Product Recall Markets - A list of Target Markets that the serial number has been recalled from.

  This field displays only if the product has been recalled from at least one market.

• Market Withdrawal Markets – A list of Target Markets that the serial number has been withdrawn from.

  This field displays only if the product has been withdrawn from at least one market.

• Crypto Key – The encrypted key portion of the serial number's crypto code, generated by the Order Management System (OMS) in Kazakhstan, Russia, or Uzbekistan.

  Displays only if the serial number was provisioned for a location that requires crypto codes.

• Crypto Code – The encrypted code portion of the serial number's crypto code, generated by the Order Management System (OMS) in Kazakhstan, Russia, or Uzbekistan.

  Displays only if the serial number was provisioned for a location that requires crypto codes.

• Crypto Acquisition Date – The date that the encrypted code portion of the serial number's crypto code is retrieved from the Order Management System (OMS) in Kazakhstan, Russia, or Uzbekistan.

  Displays only if the serial number was provisioned for a location that requires crypto codes.

• Item Code - The packaging level item code that associates with the serial number.
  • CN-Subtype Code
  • GS1 Company Prefix (for SSCCs)
  • GTIN-14
  • NTIN
• Lot Number - The lot number that associates with the Internal Material Code, Packaging Item Code, or Country Drug Code which identifies the serial numbers.

  SSCCs might not have a lot number.

• Expiration Date - The lot's expiration date.
• Manufacturing Date - The date of manufacture associated with the serial number.
• Packaging Level - The packaging level that associates with the serial number.
  • CA (Case / Shipper)
  • EA (Each)
  • PK (Inner Pack / Bundle)
  • PL (Pallet)
• Reason Code - A preset reason for the update.
  • Damaged – The product is damaged.
  • Defective - The product does not function as intended.
  • Dispensed - The product is dispensed.
  • Disposed – The product is disposed.
  • Expired - The product reached its expiration date.
  • Misplaced – The product is missing.
  • Inappropriately Stored - The product has been stored improperly and is no longer fit for sale.
  • Market Released – The product is released into one or more target markets for distribution.
  • Recalled - The product is recalled by the Pharmaceutical Manufacturer.
  • Repackaged - The product is repackaged from a different source product.
  • Returned - The product has been returned and cannot be resold.
  • Sampled – The product is sampled for quality testing.
  • Sampled - Archival - The product is sampled to store as a record.
  • Sampled - Clinical Study - The product is sampled for a clinical study.
  • Sampled - Customs Control - The product is sampled for inspection control by customs authorities.
  • Sampled - Marketing Demonstration - The product is used in a marketing demonstration.
  • Sampled by Authorities - The product is sampled by government authorities.
  • Sampled - Pharmaceutical Study - The product is sampled for a post-registration pharmaceutical study, to support submitted changes to a dossier.
  • Sampled - Federal Inspection - The product is sampled for federal inspection.
  • Sampled - Selective Control - The product is sampled by health authorities as needed to ensure quality standards.
  • Stolen – The product is stolen.
  • Spoilage - The product is spoiled due to exposure (e.g. heat, oxygen, moisture, microrganisms).
  • Withdrawn - The product is removed from the market by the Pharmaceutical Manufacturer.
  • Withdrawn - Experiment - The product is withdrawn from the market during the course of an experiment.
  • Other - The product is decommissioned or destroyed for a reason that is not listed.
• Product Name – The name of the product as defined in Product Master Data.
• Product Description – Typically includes the product name, dosage, form, and the number of doses as defined in Product Master Data.
• Strength - The strength of the product (e.g. 100 mg) as defined in Product Master Data.
• Dosage Form - The from the product is dispensed in (e.g. tablet or pill) as defined in Product Master Data.
• Country Drug Code - The product's country-specific identifier as defined in Product Master Data.
• Country Market Code - The two-letter ISO country code for the country in which the serial number is commissioned. This field displays the ISO country code that was entered when the serial number was commissioned in SNX.
• Internal Material Number - The number assigned to the product for internal use and not for identifying the product externally as defined in Product Master Data.
• Package Size/Spec - The number of individual doses in the pack as defined in Product Master Data.

• Receipt Information - The delivery number, associated purchase order number, and the date of the receipt for the specific serial number, for each purchase order.
• Shipment Information - The delivery number, associated purchase order number, and the date of the shipment for the specific serial number, for each purchase order.

• Parent Serial Number - The parent container serial number.
• Encoding Type - The encoding format of the parent container serial number.
  • AI(01)+AI(21) for serialized GTIN and NTIN numbers
  • AI(00) for SSCC codes
  • CN_EDMC for China numbers

• Item Code - The packaging level item code that associates with the serial number.
  • CN-Subtype Code

• Lot Number - The unique lot identifier. The text link navigates to the lot number's search query on the Get Lot Status screen.
• Serial Numbers - The repackaged or source product serial numbers are available to download as a CSV.
  • For "Repackaged Product Information": The CSV contains the current serial numbers for the repackaged product.
  • For "Source Product Information": The CSV contains the original source serial numbers for the repackaged product.

• Serial Numbers - The list of child serial numbers.

1. Select the desired entity in the Show Data From drop-down at the top of the screen.
2. Enter the parent or child serial number in the Serial Number field.
3. Select the Search button.

   The serial number information displays below.

• Select the Serial Number link under "Parent Serial Number Information."

  The screen reloads with the new query results.

• Select the Serial Number link under "Child Serial numbers (n)."

  The screen reloads with the new query results.

• Select the Serial Numbers Download link in the "Repackaged Product Information or Source Product Information" section.

  The file downloads.
