1. Select Outbound Movement in the left menu.
2. Select Create Delivery .

Enter the shipping information for the delivery including the shipment (sale) type, the To and From locations, and any identifiers related to the shipment such as a purchase order number or invoice number.

The system’s Product Master Data, which associates with the delivery, populates this information, however it is not static and can be updated:

• Delivery Number - Number that uniquely identifies the shipment.

  

  • If a shipping event is sent to the Serialized Operations Manager app, use the same Delivery Number from the shipping event to receive the delivery against or errors result (see errors table) and/or serial number states revert to a "shipped" state.
  • If using a non-unique delivery number, the shipment's Ship From Location and From Business must be unique.
  • Delivery Number must not contain only special characters.
• Shipment Date - Date the shipment sends. Defaults to the current GMT date.

  The Shipment Date should be the Transaction Date for compliance purposes.

• Shipment Type - Indicates the sale type.
• Return - Export - A shipment of goods returned to the supplier, shipped from one country to another.
• Return - In Country - A shipment of goods returned to the supplier, shipped within the same country.
• Sale - Export - A sale and distribution made from one country to another.
• Sale - In Country - A sale and distribution made within the same country.
• Transfer - Export - A transfer within a company or with a Partner, such as 3PL or contract manufacturer/packager, made from one country to another.
• Transfer - In Country - A transfer within a company or with a Partner, such as 3PL or contract manufacturer/packager, occurring within the same country.
• Ship From Country Code - The country that ships the goods, in ISO 2-letter country code format. This is required if Shipment Type is set to any of the following:
  • Sale – Export
  • Return – Export
  • Transfer – Export

  Optional if the From Business and To Business are entered.

• Ship To Country Code - The country that receives the goods, in ISO 2-letter country code format.

  Optional if the From Business and To Business are entered.

• From Business - The business entity that transfers the ownership of goods. This is a type-ahead field that pulls from Master Data.

  The entity's identifier and its full address display beneath the field after entry.

• To Business - The entity receiving the goods. The entity's identifier and its full address display beneath the field after entry.

  In the case of a transfer, the From Business and To Business values are the same, whether transferring between warehouses in the same company, or transferring between a warehouse owned by the company that owns the goods and a third party service provider such as a Contract Manufacturer or a Third Party Logistics Provider. Use the Ship From Location and Ship To Location fields to capture third party service providers.

  From Business and To Business Country Requirements

  The From Business and To Business fields might be optional for Transfer and Sale shipments depending on the Ship From Country Code and Ship To Country Code.

  These fields are always required for Return shipments.

• Transaction IDs - Indicates the transaction identifier and unique number. 

   Each country requires different information. See the "Country Field Requirements" drop-down.

  • Identifier Type - The type of identifier for the transaction.
  • Bill of Lading – A carrier-issued document number that serves as a shipment receipt once the product is delivered to the predetermined destination.
  • Destruction Order – The unique identifier of an agreement in which a service provider agrees to destroy product.
  • E-Way Bill Number – The unique identifier of the shipment's E-Way bill.
  • Import Permit – The unique identifier of the shipping import permit for foreign manufactured products.
  • Invoice Number – The unique identifier of the invoice.
  • Nota Fiscal Eletronica – The unique document number and series code of the Brazilian Nota Fiscal Eletronica.
  • Packing Slip Number – The unique identifier of the Packing Slip.
  • PO Number – The unique identifier of the Purchase Order.
  • PRO Number – The transportation carrier progressive number assigned to an individual shipment.
  • Return – The unique identifier of the Return Authorization document.
  • Sales Order Number – The unique identifier of the Sales Order.
  • Sales Permit – The unique identifier of the local sales permit for domestic manufacturing or sale.
  • Shipment Number – The unique identifier of the shipment.
  • Transfer Number – The unique identifier of the transfer shipment.
  • Other – A document type other than those listed here.
  • Identifier Value - The value of the identifier for the transaction.
  • Document Date - The date printed on the corresponding transaction document.

Some optional fields may be mandatory per a country's regulatory requirements. Select a country to view mandatory fields for that country.

Brazil

• Transaction ID - Indicate a Packing Slip Number and/or an Invoice Number.

China

• Transaction ID - Indicate a Purchase Order Number.

Russia

• Transaction ID - Indicate a Document Date when the Ship to Country is Russia.
• Contract Type - Mandatory when the Ship to Country is Russia.
• Supply Type - Mandatory when the Ship to Country is Russia.
• Funding Source - Mandatory when the Ship to Country is Russia.

South Korea

• Contract Type - Only mandatory when the Ship From Country is Korea and Return-In Country is the receipt type.
• Supply Type - Only mandatory when Ship From Country is Korea and Return-In Country is the receipt type.
• Transaction ID - Indicate any identifier.

• Comment - Sometimes a shipment must include a price exception or delivery number. Enter these values in the Comment field. Format is:

  • Price exception - "ZD;<additional comments>".
  • Delivery number - "DEL:<value>;<additional comments>".

Turkey

• Transaction ID - Indicate a Purchase Order Number and/or a Shipment (ASN) Number.

United States

• Transaction ID - Indicate a Purchase Order Number, a Shipment (ASN) Number, and/or a Invoice Number.

• Correcting Voided Delivery - Optional checkbox which is unchecked by default. Indicates if a voided delivery is being corrected.
  • Voided Delivery Number - Only Voided deliveries that have not been "Cancelled" may be corrected. If a delivery has been cancelled, a new delivery must be created. This must be the original Delivery Number that was voided.

    Mandatory if the Correcting Voided Delivery checkbox is selected.

• Ship From Location - The location that ships the goods.
• Ship To Location - Location receiving the shipment.
• Entry Port - The name of the port where the shipment enters the ship to country (e.g. airport, maritime port, border checkpoint).
• Exit Port - The name of the port where the shipment leaves the ship from country (e.g. airport, maritime port, border checkpoint).
• Transportation Carrier - Transportation carrier that ships the goods.
• Drop Shipment - Optional checkbox that indicates if the shipment is a drop shipment. Select if transferring customer orders to another party with the product in house.
• Portal Access Code - The portal access code to access the drop shipment report via the serialized drop ship portal.
• Contract Type - Indicates the type of contract.
  • Agency Sales Agreement - An agent performs legal actions and paid services for a manufacturer or supplier.
  • Commission Sales Agreement - A sales agent earns commission for facilitating trade for an exporting company.
  • Consignment Agreement - The buyer pays the manufacturer or supplier only when the product is sold.
  • Competitive Bid - The right to fulfill the order is bid on by manufacturers and awarded to the manufacturer with the most favorable bid.
  • Government Contract - Product is sold under a government or state contract.
  • Private Contract - The buyer agrees to purchase product from the manufacturer.
• Contract Number - The identification number of the selected Contract Type.

• Funding Source - Indicates the source of funds used to purchase a shipment.

  • Extra Budget Funds - Funds not included in the budget are used to purchase the shipment.
  • Federal Budget Funds - Federal government funds are used to purchase the shipment.
  • Mixed Budget Funds - Both regional and federal government funds are used to purchase the shipment.
  • Own Funds - The company's own funds are used to purchase the shipment.
  • Regional Budget Funds - State or regional funds are used to purchase the shipment.

• Supply Type - Indicates the intended purpose of the shipment.

Supply Type Options

Some countries use specific Supply Types for certain shipments, but currently only South Korea and Russia require this field.

• Removal from Circulation Reason Code – The reason that the product in a shipment is being removed from circulation:
  • Counterfeit – The product is a fraudulent imitation of the original.
  • Damaged – The product is damaged.
  • Excluded from Registration – The product was not registered.
  • Expired – The product is expired.
  • Falsified – The document for the product is intentionally inaccurate.
  • Lost Consumer Properties – The product has lost its potency (e.g. due to exposure to light or being stored outside of the appropriate temperature range).
  • Recalled – The product is recalled.
  • Substandard – The product does not meet physical or quality standards.
  • Unfit for Consumption – The product cannot be safely consumed.
  • Withdrawn by Manufacturer or MAH – The Manufacturer or MAH has withdrawn the product from the market.
• Comments - Any additional remarks. 200 character maximum. E.g. Delivery number for South Korea.
