Info Exchange How-Tos

Search Messages

Hover over the Modules drop-down in the top of any screen, and then select Info Exchange.
The Info Exchange screen displays.
Fill in one or more of the following search fields:
- Service – A list of Links that the user belongs to, which determines the Business Process - Transaction Types available.
- Updated On Or After (GMT) – Messages that were updated on or after the date specified display.
  The value in this field defaults 2 days prior to the current GMT date.
- Updated On Or Before (GMT) – Messages that were updated on or before the date specified display.
  The value in this field defaults the current GMT date.
- Input File – The name of the input file.
- Processing Status – Limits the results to messages that are currently in the selected state.
  - All (default)
  - Submitted – Only submitted statuses.
  - Failed - All – All available failed statuses (i.e. all of the below failed options).
  - Success - All – All available success statuses (i.e. all of the below success options).

- Business Process - Transaction Type – Available messages within the Link selected. Displays as 2 separate fields in the results table.
  See Message Types for more information.
- Partner – Messages that were sent to or from the selected Partner.
- Include Reconciled Transactions – Includes messages that have been addressed and marked as Reconciled in the search results.
  Only Company Administrators can reconcile messages.
Select the Search button.
The results display in the table.

Tips

Select the View Details icon () in the Actions column to access the View Transaction Details screen.
Select the Input File link or the Last Output File link in the Input File / Last Output File column to download a message's files.
Select the Continue Processing link in the Actions column for any message with a Processing Status of Failed - Needs Investigation to process the message manually.

Reconcile a Message

Hover over the Modules drop-down in the top of any screen, and then select Info Exchange.
The Info Exchange screen displays.
Search for the message to reconcile.
Select the Reconcile icon () in the Actions column of the results table.

The "Reconcile InfoExchange" dialog box displays.
Select the Reconcile checkbox.
Enter any comments or annotations about the reconciliation in the Reconcile Reason field.
Select the Confirm button.
The dialog box closes, and the following confirmation message displays "Attempting to Reconcile an Info Exchange record. This may take a few minutes, refresh your browser to check status."

Tips

Select the Reconcile icon () in the Actions column for any message with a Processing Status of Reconciled to edit or undo the reconciliation.

Import a Message

Hover over the Modules drop-down in the top of any screen, and then select Info Exchange.
The Info Exchange screen displays.
Select the Import File button.
The Import File screen displays.
Select Service to import the file into.
Determines the available options in the Transaction Type field.
Select the message's Transaction Type from the drop-down. (See Message Types for more information.)
Select the File Format being uploaded from the drop-down:
- CSV - TraceLink's Format – Defined and maintained by TraceLink.
- Configured Format – The user-defined file format for that Link (e.g. an XML file).
  The Configured Format drop-down menu option is selected in almost all instances.
A zip file of the above mentioned formats can be uploaded. The zip file can contain only one message file. This feature is best used for larger files as it prevents significant upload latency. If a zip file is uploaded, that file can also be downloaded by users.
Select the Choose File button.
Browse for and select the desired File to Upload, with a maximum size of 50MB.
Select the Submit button.
The Info Exchange screen displays with the confirmation message "TraceLink is attempting to process the file you specified - this may take several minutes. If you do not see the file you uploaded in the table below, check this screen later to see if the import was successful."
