Manage datasets

Dataset contains the results of a single scheduled report run. After a scheduled report's schedule is activated, OPUS Reports and Dashboards (ORD) generates a new dataset for each scheduled run.

ORD processes datasets asynchronously to support larger report volumes. This processing avoids the execution-time and browser-memory limitations of synchronous reports. Backend processing includes data flattening, column mapping, and result consolidation across multiple process networks.

The dashboard displays datasets based on the following scenarios:

  • Latest dataset successful: The dashboard uses the latest successful dataset for the scheduled report.

  • Latest dataset failed: The dashboard uses the previous successful dataset for the scheduled report.

  • No dataset available: If no dataset is available, the dashboard displays the message "Latest dataset is not available."

Users can edit a scheduled report to update its execution schedule.

Each dataset contains fixed results from a scheduled run. Dashboard filters and application network selections do not affect the dataset's contents.
