Monitor audit trail events
Use the
menu item to view user and system actions captured in the audit trail for Track & Trace Services and the Opus Platform.The data in
can be useful for completing certain supply chain tasks:- Operations tasks:
- Investigate people or process problems by showing the users that took specific actions.
- Regulatory compliance tasks:
- Provide proof of CFR Part 11/GxP compliance.
View a summary of audit trail events
The audit trail event summary view shows the most important information about events captured in the audit trail for TraceLink apps that record events in the audit trail. Use this view to locate important information about audit trail events that require action.

- Select [Company Name] Serialized Product Intelligence from the drop-down in the header.
- Select the button in the header.

The event summary view displays by default with the Monitor Audit Trail Event Dashboard View
icon selected in the upper right.
in the side menu.

- Fill in one or more of the following fields to filter the results:
- Last Week (default) – View data from the last 7 days.
- Last Month – View data from the last 30 days.
- Last 3 Months – View data from the last 90 days.
- Last 6 Months – View data from the last 180 days.
- Custom Range – View data from a specified time period (maximum range of one year).

- Reason for Change – The reason for the change entered by the user (e.g. Damaged).
- Action – The type of change captured in the audit trail event (e.g. create, modify, delete).
- Support Access User Name – The name of the TraceLink Support user that performed the action on behalf of the Performed by User, if applicable.
- Business Object – The specific information that was created, modified, or removed (e.g. a product code, the name of a company, a serial number).
- Business Object Type – The type of business function that was impacted by the event.
- Modified Data – The data that was changed as a result of the audit trail event.
- Application – The app where the event took place.

- Date – The date and time that the audit trail event took place.

Performed by User – The user that performed the action captured in the audit trail.
- Performed by Company – The company that performed the action captured in the audit trail.
- Application – The app where the event took place.

TraceLink begins generating the CSV file with the data displayed in the table. It is available in the Notifications panel when it is ready.

You also receive an email when the CSV file is ready.
View all audit trail event data
The Table View of the audit trail events displays all information about events captured in the audit trail for Track & Trace Services and the Opus Platform and allows for additional filtering to explore the data further. Use this view to locate information that is not available in the event summary view.

- Select [Company Name] Serialized Product Intelligence from the drop-down in the header.
- Select the button in the header.
- Select in the side menu.
- Select the All Event Data View
icon in the upper right.
The view of all audit trail event data displays in a table view.

- Fill in one or more of the following fields to filter the results:
- field – Enter keywords to return only rows that contain that text.
- field – The user that performed the action captured in the audit trail.
- field – The company that performed the action captured in the audit trail.

- Date Range – The date range to view the data for.
- Reason for Change – The reason for the change entered by the user (e.g. Damaged).
- Action – The type of change captured in the audit trail event (e.g. create, modify, delete).
- Support Access User Name – The name of the TraceLink Support user that performed the action on behalf of the Performed by User, if applicable.
- Business Object – The specific information that was created, modified, or removed (e.g. a product code, the name of a company, a serial number).
- Business Object Type – The type of business function that was impacted by the event.

The following values display by default:
- Date – The date and time that the audit trail event took place.

Performed by User – The user that performed the action captured in the audit trail.
- Performed by Company – The company that performed the action captured in the audit trail.
- Application – The app where the event took place.
- Business Object Type – The type of business function that was impacted by the event.

- Action – The type of change captured in the audit trail event (e.g. create, modify, delete).
- Reason for Change – The reason for the change entered by the user (e.g. Damaged).
- Support Access User Name – The name of the TraceLink Support user that performed the action on behalf of the Performed by User, if applicable.
Select a row to view the following values:
- Modified Data – The data that was changed as a result of the audit trail event. Fields are separated by semicolons.

- If the size of the data is more than 32K, data is not visible in the Modified Data panel. Export data as a CSV file to view the full details. Also, the rows that have modified data more than 32K cannot be filtered.

- Select the Export
icon to export the messages.
TraceLink begins generating the CSV file with the data displayed in the table. It is available in the Notifications panel when it is ready.
