Review shipment notices

Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Repackagers, and Wholesale Distributors can send shipment notices to Product Information Manager so that:

  • Indirect trade partners (e.g. Dispensers) can access these shipment notices without linking to the sender's US Compliance network.
  • Direct trade partners who are not linked to the Owner's US Compliance network (e.g. doctor’s offices) can also access shipment notices.

Product Information Manager contains only shipment notices:

  • Designated as drop shipments by the sender in Serialized Operations Manager.
  • Sent to direct Partners who are not linked to the Owner's US Compliance network.

Search shipment notices

  1. Select TraceLink Network Applications - Product Information Manager from the Network drop-down in the header.
  2. Select Shipment Notices from the Process drop-down in the header.
  3. Select the Go button.
  4. Fill in the following fields to retrieve the shipment notice
    • Date drop-down – Required. The list of shipment notices received in the selected time period.
      • Last week (default) – The shipment notices received in the last 7 days, from the current day.
      • Custom Range – The shipment notices received in the selected time period. A maximum of 15 days of shipment notices can be retrieved in a single search.
    • Transfer From Business field – Required. The business that ships the delivery.
    • Delivery Number field – Required. The delivery number associated with the shipment notice.
    • Access Code field – Required. The portal access code provided by the Transfer From Business for the delivery.
    • reCAPTCHA checkbox – Required. Verifies that the user is a real person.
  5. Select Search.

    The results display in the table.

    • Date Shipped – The date that the delivery is shipped.
    • From Business – The business that ships the delivery.
    • To Business – The business that receives the delivery.
    • Ship To Location – The location where the delivery is received.
    • Transaction IDs – The transaction identifiers associated with the delivery (e.g. Purchase Order Number).
    • Quantity – The number of serialized items included in the delivery.
  6. Select the Actions icon to see the following options:
    • View Shipment Notice – Provides more information about the shipment details. See Shipment notice for more information.
    • Export EPCIS Message – Exports the original EPCIS message that is generated for the shipment notice. To view the generated EPCIS message, select the Notification icon and then select View Details on the Notifications side panel to navigate to the View Exports screen. Tips

  • To view the generated EPCIS messages, select the View Exports icon. See View Exports for more information.

  • If no errors or results display after selecting Search, the number of search results being returned for the selected date range is too large. Reduce the number of days included in the date range for the results to display.

Configure and generate the shipment notice

Shipment notices are sent to Product Information Manager from the sender's US Compliance app if additional trigger criteria is met. The following are the event triggers (i.e. workflow subscriptions) that generate shipment notices:

  • Generate Shipment Notices for Indirect Trade Partners
  • Generate Shipment Notices for Direct Trade Partners Not Linked to US Compliance

Shipment notices are sent from Product Information Manager to US Product Track when the indirect trade partners (e.g. Dispensers) who receive the shipment notice are linked to Product Information Manager and own US Product Track as well as Serialized Operations Manager. US Product Track then sends these notices to US Compliance and Serialized Operations Manager so that the indirect trade partner does not need to use the Product Information Manager Web UI at all if they do not want to. Shipment notice details

Field Description Sourced From
Delivery Number The delivery number associated with the shipment notice. The Delivery Number for the shipment notice in the sender's Serialized Operations Manager.
Date Shipped The date that the delivery is shipped.

The Shipment Date for the delivery in the sender's Serialized Operations Manager.
Transaction IDs The transaction identifiers associated with the delivery (e.g. Purchase Order Number).

The Transaction IDs for the delivery in the sender's Serialized Operation Manager.
Delivery Type

The type of delivery. All deliveries in Product Information Manager display as Receipt.

The type of delivery defined in US Compliance based on the event trigger conditions for generating deliveries. See the US Compliance Help Center for more information.

From Business The business that ships the delivery.

The From Business for the delivery in the sender's Serialized Operation Manager.
To Business The business that receives the delivery.

The To Business for the delivery in the sender's Serialized Operation Manager.
Ship From Location The location that the delivery is shipped from.

The Ship From Location for the delivery in the sender's Serialized Operation Manager.
Ship To Location The location where the delivery is received.

The Ship To Location for the delivery in the sender's Serialized Operation Manager.

  • Select the Download icon to export a EPCIS message. See View Exports for more information.

Item Code The item code (usually an NDC) that identifies the product.

The NDC Item Code for the product in the sender's Product Master Data.

Product Description The description of the product, which typically includes the strength, dose, and other product information. The Product Description in the sender's Product Master Data.
Lot Number The lot number for the serialized items.

The lot number in the sender's Serialized Operations Manager for this product's serialized items.
Expiration Date

The expiration date for the serialized items.

The expiration date in the sender's Serialized Operations Manager for the serial numbers in this lot.

Quantity

The number of serialized items for this product and lot number combination in the delivery.

The number of serialized items for this product and lot number combination added to the delivery in the sender's Serialized Operations Manager.
Traceability Required

Indicates whether the product must be traced through the supply chain by law:

  • Yes – The product must be traced, as required by the DSCSA.
  • No – The product does not need to be traced, as defined by the DSCSA (e.g. over-the-counter medication).
 The Traceability Required value in the product's US target in the sender's Product Master Data.

View Exports

The results display in the table.

  • Date Created – The date the EPCIS file is created.
  • Status – The status of the generated EPCIS file.
  • File Name – The name of the file that contains details of the EPCIS message, e.g. PT_SOM_INT_SalesShipment_<Delivery Number>_<timestamp>.xml.
