Troubleshoot a problem
Solution
A solution cannot be edited when it is in the Released or Test state. Check the status of the solution.
If recent configuration changes do not display, log out of the environment and log back in. Starting a new session loads the latest configuration.
A newer version of the solution exists. Use Save As to save the older version as a new solution.
The solution cannot be unpacked if a required dependency is missing, a configuration conflicts with the solution, or the solution package contains invalid information. Check the Activity Status column on the Solutions screen after unpacking the solution. Open Action History for the solution to review the error details and identify the failed step. A solution might take some time to unpack. Wait for the unpacking process to finish before checking Available Solutions.
Workflows
The workflow transition might fail if a field required by the transition condition is blank. Review the transition condition and identify the required field. Enter the missing value, and then retry the workflow action.
If the record still does not move to the next state, open Action History and review any failures or errors associated with the transition.
A pre-transition condition fails if the condition contains multiple lines of code. Pre-transition conditions support only a single line of code. Write the pre-transition condition as a single line of code. If the workflow transition still fails, review the condition syntax before troubleshooting the business logic.
A workflow transition might not display or execute as expected.
Check that:
- The required role and permissions are assigned.
- The transition condition evaluates to true.
- The pre-transition condition is a single line of code.
- The object is in the expected state or substate.
- Recent configuration changes are visible after refreshing the screen.
Roles
Your assigned roles and permissions determine which items you can access in the main menu, network composer, and side menu. Verify that you are assigned the correct role. If you still cannot see the appropriate menu items, contact your System Administrator to verify your roles and permissions.
Pages
A button might not display if it is configured as Hidden. In the page configuration, check the button settings and change the button from Hidden to Visible.
The page might not open if the hyperlink is not enabled for the table's column. In the Search page configuration, enable the hyperlink for the column that opens the object. Save the configuration and verify that selecting the link opens the object’s View/Edit page.
Menus
New or updated items might not display immediately. A banner message confirms that the updates will display shortly. Wait a minute or two, and then refresh the page to see the updates.
