Configure menus
The side menu augments the navigation experience, displaying all processes (represented by menu items) available to the user. Each menu represents a business object (e.g. Purchase Orders, Invoices, Payments), report, or dashboard available to the user within the context of the network and Partner selected in the network composer.
In OSE, the navigation structure includes the following three components:
- Menu – A menu is the top-level navigation element that organizes related submenus and menu items. It provides a clear structure for accessing different areas of the application.
- Submenu – A submenu is a subset of a menu that groups related menu items within a menu. It adds contextual organization, helping users find actions related to a specific business process, such as procurement or inventory management.
- Menu item – A menu item represents a specific action or business object that users can interact with. Each menu item typically launches a corresponding page, such as a search or view/edit page for a business object.
This structured approach enhances usability by allowing users to navigate efficiently through the various functionalities available in OSE.
