Agent profiles

To add a new Company Agent Profile, Agent Developers first create a Company Agent In Development. A Company Agent In Development is the working version of the profile where Agent Developers define the agent's intent, objectives, outcomes, tasks, decisions, rules, metrics, and guardrails.

Agent Developers can create a Company Agent In Development. After the Company Agent In Development is tested and promoted, OPUS Agent Manager adds it to the Company Agent Profiles page.

1. Select the Main Menu icon.
2. Select OPUS Agent Manager.
3. Select Company Agent Profiles from the left menu.
4. Select Agent In Development.
5. Select the New button.

6. Fill in the following fields in the General section:

   1. Name field – The name of the agent. This could be a technical name such as MintPOAutomation

   2. Avatar Name field – The avatar name of the agent. This can be a humanized name which helps to easily recognize or search the agent, for example, David or Linda.

7. Click the Add icon on the Memberships panel in the Access section to define which application, process network, and role the agent can use.

   1. Application field – Select the application for which the agent needs membership.
   2. Process Network Name field – Select the process network for the application provided.
   3. Roles field – Assign roles to the agent for the selected application and process network.

   Select the Add icon to add another membership for this agent.

8. Click the Add icon on the Human Users panel in the Access section to associate one or multiple human managers for this agent.

   1. Relationship Type field – Select Manager as the relationship type.
   2. Human User field – Select the name and email of the user who will manage the agent.

   Select the Add icon to add another human manager for the agent.

9. Fill in the following fields in the Intent section:

   1. Name field – The name which clearly identifies the function the agent performs.

   2. Description field – Additional details about the agent's intent such as business function, the type of work the agent supports, and the overall purpose of the agent.

   3. Guardrails field – The boundaries and constraints for the intent which define what the agent cannot do while performing this business function, including limits on scope, data access, or actions that require human review.

   4. Purpose field – The value or outcome the agent should help deliver.

10. Click the Add icon on the Metrics panel in the Intent section to measure whether the agent is successfully fulfilling its intent.

    1. Name field – The name of the metric that clearly identifies what is being measured.
    2. Description field – The details about what the metric measures which is the behavior, outcome, or business result being tracked.
    3. Purpose field – The significance of the metric and how it helps evaluate the success of the agent’s intent.
    4. Tracking Description field – Defines how the metric should be tracked over time which can include the data, activity, or result that should be monitored to measure performance.

    Select the Add icon to add another metric for the agent.

11. Click the Add icon on the Objectives panel in the Objectives section to define the specific outcomes the agent must achieve to fulfill its intent.

    1. Name field – The outcome-focused name of the objective that clearly describes what the agent should accomplish.
    2. Guardrails field – The boundaries and constraints that apply to the objective which define what the agent cannot do while working toward this objective.
    3. Display Name field – The display name helps users understand the result created or tracked by the objective.
    4. Description field – The detailed description of the expected outcome.
    5. Create Upon field – The condition, event, or situation that initiates the outcome
    6. Complete Upon field – The condition, event, or result that marks the outcome as completed.
    7. Tasks field – The tasks that the agent performs to achieve the objective. Note that each objective must include at least one task.
    8. Metrics field – The metric used to measure how a task is performed.

12. Select the Save button.
    The Company Agent In Development is created.

Update the Company Agent In Development intent, objectives, outcomes, tasks, decisions, rules, metrics, or guardrails before moving it to the Test state.

1. Select the Main Menu icon.
2. Select OPUS Agent Manager.
3. Select Company Agent Profiles from the left menu.
4. Select Agent In Development.
5. Select the Name hyperlink of the agent on the Search Agents In Development page.
6. Select the Edit button.
7. Update the required information. For field references, see Add an agent in development.

8. Select the Save button.
   The Company Agent In Development is updated.

9. To move the Company Agent In Development to the Test state, select the Move to button.

Promote a Company Agent In Development to make the tested agent definition available as a Company Agent Profile for agent instance creation.

1. Select the Main Menu icon.
2. Select OPUS Agent Manager.
3. Select Company Agent Profiles from the left menu.
4. Select Agent In Development.
5. Select the Name hyperlink of the agent on the Search Agents In Development page.
6. Select the Promote button.
   The Company Agent In Development is promoted to a Company Agent Profile for agent instance creation.

1. Select the Main Menu icon.
2. Select OPUS Agent Manager.
3. Select Agent Profiles from the left menu.
4. Select the Filter button.
5. In the Filters panel, fill in one or more of the following fields to filter the results:
   1. Name field – The name of the agent profile.
   2. Scope field – The type of agent profile, Marketplace or Company.
6. Select Apply.
   A list of agent profiles is displayed based on the filter results.

1. Select the Main Menu icon.
2. Select OPUS Agent Manager.
3. Select Company Agent Profiles from the left menu.
4. Select Agent In Development.
5. Select the Filter button.
6. In the Filters panel, fill in one or more of the following fields to filter the results:
   1. Name field – The name of the agent profile.
   2. State drop-down – The state of the Company Agent In Development such as InProgress, Test, and Promoted.
7. Select Apply.
   A list of agent profiles is displayed based on the filter results.

1. Select the Main Menu icon.
2. Select OPUS Agent Manager.
3. Select Marketplace Agent Profiles from the left menu.
4. Select the Filter button.
5. In the Filters panel, fill in one or more of the following fields to filter the results:
   1. Name field – The name of the agent profile.
6. Select Apply.
   A list of agent profiles is displayed based on the filter results.

1. Select the Main Menu icon.
2. Select OPUS Agent Manager.
3. Select Company Agent Profiles from the left menu.
4. Select the Filter button.
5. In the Filters panel, fill in one or more of the following fields to filter the results:
   1. Name field – The name of the agent profile.
6. Select Apply.
   A list of agent profiles is displayed based on the filter results.
