Agent profiles
An agent profile is a reusable definition or template for an agent. It describes the intended purpose, version, scope, and objectives for an agent.
OPUS Agent Manager includes two types of agent profiles: Standard Agent Profiles and Company Agent Profiles. Use a Standard Agent Profile for a reusable standard agent definition. Use a Company Agent Profile for an agent definition that applies to a specific company.
To add a new agent profile, Agent Developers first create an Agent In Development. An Agent In Development is the working version of the profile where Agent Developers define the agent’s name, purpose, objectives, associated human users, metrics, and guardrails.
Agent Developers use the Agent In Development workflow to build and test the profile before making it available for use. The workflow includes three stages: InProgress, Test, and Promoted. While the profile is in development or testing, it is not available for creating agent instances.
After testing is complete, Agent Developers promote the Agent In Development. When promoted, OPUS Agent Manager creates the corresponding Standard Agent Profile or Company Agent Profile, depending on the profile type. Agent Admins can then use the promoted profile to create agent instances.
Add, update, and promote agent profiles
Create an Agent In Development, update its definition, and promote it to a Standard Agent Profile or Company Agent Profile when it is ready for agent instance creation.

Agent Developers can create a Standard Agent In Development or a Company Agent In Development. Both types use the same fields. After the Agent In Development is tested and promoted, OPUS Agent Manager adds it to the corresponding Standard Agent Profiles or Company Agent Profiles page.
