Batch record APIs

Batch Records allow Contract Manufacturing Organizations to exchange data with their Marketing Authorization Holder Partners about specific batches of product they produce for the Marketing Authorization Holder. Batch records contain the details for a batch of product (e.g. serial numbers, expiration date, quantity, strength)

Batch record (IDoc)

Contract Manufacturing Organizations use batch records to communicate the details of a specific batch of product they produced to the Marketing Authorization Holder that contracted them to manufacture it.

Companies can communicate using the standard IDoc format they normally use to communicate with Partners from their ERP to communicate asynchronously with the Multienterprise Process Connect app. While TraceLink supports this message format, companies must follow some TraceLink specific requirements for the message header control settings in all asynchronous IDoc message communications sent inbound to TraceLink.

Message Type: MPC_BATCH_MASTER (Batch Record)

IDoc Format: BATMAS03

Transform Names:

  • B2B_IDoc_BATMAS_BATMAS03_BatchMaster_IB_V1
  • B2B_IDoc_BATMAS_BATMAS03_BatchMaster_OB_V1

When sending a Batch Record IDoc message to TraceLink, the following hierarchy must be adhered to for TraceLink to correctly process the B2B message.
