Review serial number events

The data in Review Serial Number Events can be useful for completing certain supply chain tasks:

• Regulatory compliance tasks:
  • View the history of serial numbers to provide compliance evidence to an auditor.
  • Verify the status and accuracy of EU Compliance and Russia Compliance reports.
  • Investigate compliance failures and alerts.
• Troubleshooting tasks:
  • Investigate and diagnose the cause of supply chain exceptions (e.g. missing items in a shipment).

1. Select the Main Menu icon .

2. Select Serialized Product Intelligence.

3. Select Review Serial Number Events in the side navigation, below Do.

4. Select the New Search icon in the upper right.

   The Search Criteria dialog box displays with By Product and Lot Number selected on the left.

5. Enter a Search Name to identify the search later (maximum 100 characters).

6. Enter the name or identifier of the Product to narrow the data by.
7. Enter the Lot Number to narrow the data by.
8. Select Submit.

   The dialog box closes and a search result with a Status of Generating is added to the table. Refresh your browser to display the search results in the table. TraceLink asynchronously processes the request, and the status of the search result changes to Completed when the request finishes.

   The search result is available for 30 days after generation.

   See the columns that display in the table

   • Status – The status of creating the search results:

     • Generating – The data is currently being requested.
     • Completed – The request for data is complete and the data can be viewed.
     • Failed – There was a problem sourcing the data and the request did not complete.
   • Search Name – A brief description of the search, if provided in the Search Criteria dialog box.
   • Date Created – The date that the data was requested.
   • Search Criteria – The values specified to narrow the data in the Search Criteria dialog box.
   • Serial Numbers – The quantity of serial numbers included in the search result.
   • Events – The number of events included in the search result.

1. Select the Main Menu icon .

2. Select Serialized Product Intelligence.

3. Select Review Serial Number Events in the side navigation, below Do.

4. Select the New Search icon in the upper right.

   The Search Criteria dialog box displays.

5. Select By Serial Number on the left.

6. Enter a Search Name to identify the search later (optional, maximum 100 characters).

7. Select one of the following to specify the Serial Numbers to narrow the data by (maximum 50,000 serial numbers):

   • Select Upload Serial Numbers:
     1. Select Choose File.
     2. Select the CSV file with the serial numbers to upload.

        The CSV file must be smaller than 50MB and cannot contain headers. Only 1 file can be uploaded per session.

   • Select Enter Serial Numbers:
     • Enter the Serial Numbers.

       or

     • Scan the Serial Numbers with an external scanner.
8. Select Submit.

   The dialog box closes and a search result with a Status of Generating is added to the table. Refresh your browser to display the search results in the table. TraceLink asynchronously processes the request, and the status of the search result changes to Completed when the request finishes.

   The search result is available for 30 days after generation.

6. Enter a Search Name to identify the search later (optional, maximum 100 characters).

7. Select the Transaction Identifier Type to narrow the data by (e.g. Bill of Lading).
8. Enter the Transaction Identifier Value to narrow the data by.
9. Select Submit.

   The dialog box closes and a search result with a Status of Generating is added to the table. Refresh your browser to display the search results in the table. TraceLink asynchronously processes the request, and the status of the search result changes to Completed when the request finishes.

4. Select the View icon for the search result with the data to view.

   Tips:

   • Enter a keyword in the Filter By field to locate the search result in the table.
   • Search results are available for 30 days after generation.

   The dashboard view displays by default with the Dashboard View icon selected in the upper right. The Search Criteria section displays the original values specified to narrow the data.

• Select a card in the Products section to view data for that product only. To locate and select a product card, enter its name in the Product field.
  See the information that displays for each product

  • Product Name – The name of the product.
  • Serial Numbers – The quantity of serial numbers for this product returned by the search.
  • Events – The number of events that the serial numbers experienced.
  • Description – The description of the product.
  • Dosage Form – The form the product is dispensed in (e.g. tablet or pill).
  • Item Code – The item codes (i.e. Internal Material Number or Country Drug Code) that identify the product.
  • Package Size – The number of individual doses in the pack.
  • Strength – The strength of the product (e.g. 100 mg).
  • Lots – The quantity of lots that contain the serial numbers for this product.
  • Packaging Code/UOM – Select Show along the bottom of the card to access this field. Displays the packaging code for each unit of measure (UOM) specified for the product.
• Use the legend in the Event Details chart to interpret the data:
  • Routine Actions – Events that occur during day-to-day operations (e.g. Commissioned).
  • Compliance Actions – Events related to regulatory and country compliance (e.g. EU Commission Report Submitted).
  • Exception Management – Events that occur while resolving a deviation from a process (e.g. Status Updated).
  • Removal from Market – Events that withdraw items from one or more target markets (e.g. Recalled).
  • Final Statuses – Events that terminate an item or serial number (e.g. Destroyed).
• Select a tab on the left of the Event Details and Compliance charts to adjust the view of the data.
• To view the dates when the events occurred, select Show Event Dates in the lower right of the Event Details and Compliance charts.
• To view more details about a specific data point in a chart, select the data point, and then select View Data.

   To view specific data in the table, select a data point in a chart, and then select View Data.

The following values display by default:

• Event Time – The date and time that the event occurred.
• Serial Number – The serial number that experienced the event.
• Operation – The supply chain process where the event occurred (e.g. Commissioned, Shipped, Country Clearance).
• Serial Number Status – The state of the serial number at the time of the event.
• Item Status – The state of the serialized item at the time of the event.
• Reason Code – The reason for the status update to the serial number.

Select the Expand icon to view the following values:

Product Details

• Parent Serial Number – The serial number of the parent container that holds the Serial Number. Displays a value only if the Operation is Aggregated.
• Lot Number – The lot that the Serial Number is part of. If the lot number was updated after commissioning, this column displays the original lot number.

• Manufacturing Date - The manufacturing date associated with the Lot Number.

• Expiration Date – The expiration date associated with the Lot Number. If the expiration date was updated after commissioning, this column displays the original expiration date.
• Packaging Code – The packaging code value that the Serial Number is commissioned for.
• Packaging Code Type – The type of Packaging Code value (e.g. GTIN-14).
• Packaging UOM – The unit of measure that the packaging code is for (e.g. Each).
• Company Prefix – The company prefix included in the Packaging Code. Displays a value only if the Serial Number is an SSCC.
• Internal Material Number – The Internal Material Number identifier value that applies to the serial number's product, if applicable.
• Country Drug Code – The country drug code identifier value that applies to the Serial Number, if applicable.
• Country Drug Code Type – The type of country drug code associated with the country drug code value (e.g. NDC).
• Previous Internal Material Number – The previous Internal Material Number identifier value that applies to the serial number's product, if applicable.
• Previous Country Drug Code – The previous country drug code identifier value that applies to the Serial Number, if applicable.
• Previous Country Drug Code Type – The previous country drug code type associated with the country drug code value (e.g. NDC).

Event Details

• TraceLink Application – The type of TraceLink application where the event took place (e.g. Info Exchange).
• Reason Description – The user-entered reason for the event.
• Location ID – The identifier type and value of the location where the event occurred.
• Location Name – The name of the location where the event occurred.
• Performed by User – The user or system that initiated the event.

• Compliance Submission Status – The status of the related Compliance report.

• Market Release Status – Indicates whether the serial number has been released within a specific target market (i.e. the serial number has been part of a Market Release event).
• Market Release Target Market – The target market in which the serial number has been released as part of a Market Release event, if applicable.

• Previous Lot Number – The previous Lot Number that applies to the product.

• Previous Expiration Date – The previous expiration date associated with the Lot Number.

• Workflow Processed Timestamp – Indicates the time at which the event was processed by Track & Trace Services.

Product Verification History

The Product Verification History section applies to US DSCSA compliance.

• Request Company ID – The identifier of the company that made the verification request.
• Request Link Type – Displays as verificationService if the request came from an external verification router service (VRS) or TraceLink routed the request to an external VRS.
• Request Context Type – Displays as dscsaSaleableReturn if the request came from an external VRS or TraceLink routed the request to an external VRS.
• Request Correlation UUID – The Correlation Universal Unique Identifier (UUID) associated with the request. TraceLink generates this identifier for requests sent to an external VRS. Also displays a value if an external VRS sends the request to TraceLink or a Product Information Manager (Product Verification) Consumer sends their own identifier with the request.
• Request VRS ID – The identifier of the VRS that made the verification request.
• Request VRS Provider – The name of the VRS provider for the VRS that made the verification request (e.g. TraceLink).
• Response Company ID – The identifier of the company that responds to the verification request.
• Response Date – The date and time that the Producer responded to the verification request.
• Response Result – Indicates whether the Producer verified the product's legitimacy. Displays as valid or invalid.
• Response Verification Failure Reason – The reason that the verification failed. Displays a value only if the Response Result is invalid.
• Response Additional Information – Displays as Expired if the product is past its expiration date, Recalled if the Producer reported the product as recalled, or Suspect if the Producer marked the product as suspect.
• Response GLN – The GLN of the company that responds to the verification request.
• Response Responder Name – The name of the company that responds to the verification request.
• Response Correlation UUID – The Correlation UUID associated with the request. TraceLink generates this identifier for requests sent to an external VRS. Also displays a value if an external VRS sends the request to TraceLink or a Product Information Manager (Product Verification) Consumer sends their own identifier with the request.
• Response VRS ID – The identifier of the VRS that responds to the verification request.
• Response VRS Provider – The name of the VRS provider for the VRS that responds to the verification request (e.g. TraceLink).
• Total Response Time – The amount of time in milliseconds it takes for Product Information Manager (Product Verification) to receive and respond to the verification request.
• Response Unknown GLN – Indicates whether TraceLink could verify the requesting company's GLN as a valid GLN on the TraceLink Network. Displays as true if the GLN from the requesting company does not exist on the TraceLink Network, and TraceLink responded to the request with a 403 error, or false if the GLN from the requesting company either exists on the TraceLink Network or came from an external VRS.
• Verification Packaging Code Type – The packaging code type stored in the Product Information Manager (Product Verification) repository that TraceLink verified the request against. Displays a value only if TraceLink responded to the request.
• Verification Packaging Code – The packaging code value stored in the Product Information Manager (Product Verification) repository that TraceLink verified the request against. Displays a value only if TraceLink responded to the request.
• Verification Serial Number – The serial number stored in the Product Information Manager (Product Verification) repository that TraceLink verified the request against. Displays a value only if TraceLink responded to the request and the serial number in the verification request is the same as the Verification Serial Number.
• Verification Lot Number – The lot number stored in the Product Information Manager (Product Verification) repository that TraceLink verified the request against. Displays a value only if TraceLink responded to the request and the serial number in the verification request is the same as the Verification Serial Number.
• Verification Expiration Date – The expiration date stored in the Product Information Manager (Product Verification) repository that TraceLink verified the request against. Displays a value only if TraceLink responded to the request and the serial number in the verification request is the same as the Verification Serial Number.
• Verification Serial Number Status – The current serialization state of the serial number stored in the Product Information Manager (Product Verification) repository that TraceLink verified the request against. Displays a value only if TraceLink responded to the request and the serial number in the verification request is the same as the Verification Serial Number.
• Verification Item Status – The state of the product associated with the serial number stored in the Product Information Manager (Product Verification) repository that TraceLink verified the request against. Displays a value only if TraceLink responded to the request and the serial number in the verification request is the same as the Verification Serial Number.
• Verification Attribute – The reason code associated with the serial number stored in the Product Information Manager (Product Verification) repository that TraceLink verified the request against. Displays a value only if TraceLink responded to the request and the serial number in the verification request is the same as the Verification Serial Number.
• Send Failure Reason – Indicates whether the Producer chooses to provide the reason the verification is invalid in the response. Displays as true or false.
• Send Recalled Status – Indicates whether the Producer chooses to specify that the product is recalled in the verification response. Displays as true or false.
• Send Expiration Status – Indicates whether the Producer chooses to specify that the product is expired in the verification response. Displays as true or false.
• Send Suspect Status – Indicates whether the Producer chooses to specify that the product is suspect and not fit for distribution in the verification response. Displays as true or false.
• Statuses for Suspect Product – Indicates which serial number statuses and item statuses the Producer uses to mark product as suspect. Can display as DECOMMISSIONED, DESTROYED, or UNDER_INVESTIGATION.
• Valid if Recalled – Indicates whether the Producer chooses to indicate recalled product as valid. Displays as true or false.
• Valid if Expired – Indicates whether the Producer chooses to indicate expired product as valid. Displays as true or false.
• Verify Expiration Day – Indicates whether the Producer verifies the day in the expiration date, in addition to the month and year. Displays as true or false.

EU Compliance Actions

• Compliance Submission Status – The status of the related EU Compliance report with the EU Hub (e.g. Active).
• EU Error Description – Description of the EU Error Code if the EU Hub finds the report invalid.
• EU Error Code – The error code returned if the EU Hub finds the report invalid (e.g. #A18).
• EU Correlation ID – The identifier for the report, generated by the EU Hub.
• EU Initial Pack State – The EU Hub status of the serialized item before the event took place (e.g. Active).
• EU New Pack State – The EU Hub status of the serialized item after the event took place (e.g. Sample).
• New Lot Number – The lot number of the product, if updated after commissioning.
• New Expiration Date – The expiration date of the product, if updated after commissioning.
• EU Error Source – The source of the EU Hub's error code.
• EU Country Code – The country code of the National System that generated the error (e.g. DE).

Russia Compliance Actions

Tips:

• The report type indicated by the Operation and Action ID determines which of the following read-only fields are populated.
• See the Russia Compliance Help Center for a description of the number reported as the Contract Type, Order Type, Source, Turnover Type, and Withdrawal Type.

• Action ID – The number associated with the Russia Compliance report (e.g. 415 for the 415 - Move Order report).
• Confirmation Document – The number on the State Confirmation document associated with the reported event.
• Confirm Paused – Indicates that the report confirms suspended goods as accepted.
• Contract Number – The number on the contractual agreement associated with the reported event.
• Contract Type – The contract type associated with the reported shipment or receipt (e.g. 1 for 1 - Purchase and Sale in the 332 - Foreign Import report).
• Counterparty ID – The identifier of the entity that sells items to a purchaser who then reports the items as received.
• Custom Receiver ID – The identifier of the customs warehouse that receives items as they are being imported to Russia.
• Custom Shipper ID – The identifier of the customs warehouse that transfers items to another customs warehouse as the items are being imported to Russia.
• Document Date – The dated printed on the quality document associated with the items in the report.
• Document Number – The number printed on the quality document associated with the items in the report.
• Error Code – The error code that MDLP returns for the report, if applicable.
• Error Description – A description of the error code that MDLP returns for the report.
• Operation Comment – The comment that MDLP returns for the report, if applicable (e.g. indicating that the submission was successful).
• Operation Date – The date of the reported event, as captured in the compliance report.
• Order Type – The type of company reported as having physically manufactured the product (e.g. 1 for 1 - Own in the OMS Domestic Utilisation report).
• Owner ID – The identifier of the product's MAH, reported when transferring items from a CMO to the MAH.
• Receiver ID – The identifier of the entity reported as receiving a delivery.
• Report File Name – The file name of the report submitted to MDLP.
• Retrieval ID – The identifier generated when TraceLink retrieves a response from MDLP for a submitted report.
• Seller ID – The identifier of the entity reported as selling items.
• Shipper ID – The identifier of the entity reported as shipping items.
• Source – The source of funds used to purchase items (e.g. 1 for 1 - Own Funds in the 415 - Move Order report).
• Subject ID – The identifier of the entity that generates the report and submits it to MDLP.
• TraceLink Event Date – The date that the reported event occurs in TraceLink.
• TraceLink Event Name – The type of TraceLink event reported (e.g. End of Batch).
• Turnover Type – The type of delivery reported (e.g. 1 for 1 - Sale in the 415 - Move Order report).
• Usage Type – The usage type reported in the OMS Domestic Utilisation and OMS Foreign Utilisation reports (i.e. Verified).
• Withdrawal Type – The reason that items are reported as withdrawn from the supply chain (e.g. 6 for 6 - Sampled By Authorities).
• Serial Number Type – Indicates whether the serial number was created in TraceLink or by the CRPT OMS.
• Crypto Code Expiration Date – The expiration date of the crypto code.
• Free Code – Indicates whether the code is free or not. Displays as true or false.
• Payment Type – Indicates whether the code is prepaid or must be paid for upon use. Displays as 1 - prepaid or 2 - pay on the application.

Transaction Documents

• Transaction Identifier – The identifier value of the transaction document that mentions the serial number. If multiple transaction identifiers apply to the serial number, additional columns display.
• Transaction Identifier Type – The type of transaction document associated with the Transaction ID (e.g. Bill of Lading). If multiple transaction identifier types apply to the serial number, additional columns display.
• Transaction Date – The date printed on the transaction document associated with Transaction ID. If multiple transaction dates apply to the serial number, additional columns display.
• From Business ID – The identifier value of the company that the serial number was shipped from.
• From Business ID Type – The identifier type associated with the From Business ID (e.g. DUNS).
• From Location ID – The identifier value of the location that the serial number was shipped from.
• From Location ID Type – The identifier type associated with the From Location ID (e.g. GLN).
• To Business ID – The identifier value of the company that the serial number was shipped to.
• To Business ID Type – The identifier type associated with the To Business ID (e.g. DUNS).
• To Location ID – The identifier value of the location that the serial number was shipped to.
• To Location ID Type – The identifier type associated with the To Location ID (e.g. GLN).
• Supply Type – The intended purpose of the shipment that the serial number was part of (e.g. Medical Practitioner Distribution).
• Ship To Country Code – The country that the delivery is sent to.
• Ship From Country Code – The country that the delivery is sent from.
• Sales Distribution Type –The type of shipment (e.g. Sale - Export).
• Receipt Distribution Type – The type of receipt (e.g. Purchase - Import).
• Ship From Business – The identifier value of the company that the serial number was shipped from.
• Ship From Location – The identifier value of the location that the serial number was shipped from.
• Ship To Business – The identifier value of the company that the serial number was shipped to.
• Ship To Location – The identifier value of the location that the serial number was shipped from.
• Clearance Type – The type of clearance given to the shipment. Displays as Customs or Trade.
• Registration Date – The date that the shipment is registered with customs in YYYY-MM-DD XML date format.
• Action Code – Action code type:
  • DESTRUCTION - The shipment is designated for destruction.
  • DOMESTIC – The shipment is granted clearance to be sold and consumed domestically.
  • EXPORT – This shipment contains domestic or local products and is sent to another country.
  • REEXPORT – The shipment contains products already imported into the country and is sent to another country.
  • REFUSAL – The shipment is refused clearance by the regulatory customs authority.
