POET (Process Orchestration for Empowered Teams) is a Multi-Enterprise app on TraceLink's Opus Ensemble release. As its name suggests, POET allows inter-company and intra-company teams to collaborate effectively on shared tasks, that would otherwise require costly solutions or extensive resources to track work in lengthy emails or chats. POET provides a user-friendly UI that enables partner onboarding without the need for any extensive training. POET enables teams to seamlessly collaborate on a single platform by providing two business objects, Item and Work Item, which Solution Designers can configure as per their business needs. Items are suitable for tasks that are not time-bound and do not require a due date, whereas Work Items are more suited to time-bound tasks that require a specific due date.

For example, a Manufacturer (Owner), who is working on producing life-saving medication and supplying it to multiple Healthcare Dispensers (Partners), can create work items for each partner to track every step from production to delivery of the vaccine within the required time. POET allows multiple teams, such as the production team, quality control team, logistics team, the distributors, and the Healthcare Dispensers to access the work item and track the progress of the consignment.

Similarly, Solution Designers can use POET to create Items for tasks that are not time-bound. For example, routine stock checks of raw materials, data analysis to check production trends for process improvements, or internal audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
