Search serialization transactions

Owners and their Partners search for and view serialized messages such as serialized shipment notices that are exchanged on TraceLink asynchronously. This functionality enables users to troubleshoot message issues by downloading message input, output, and canonical files. Serialized transactions sent using the Web UI also display on this screen for status and troubleshooting purposes.

View serialization traceability exchange

Perform this task to search for and view serialization traceability exchange (STE) transactions.

All the fields within this screen are populated with read-only values.
  1. Select a [MPL Network] from the Network drop-down in the header.
  2. Select a Team (e.g. your entire company or a Link to a specific Partner or internal location) in the header and select the Go button.
  3.  Select All Transactions from the left menu.
    Partners must have the correct roles assigned if using the Owner's instance of Multienterprise Information Network Tower.
  4. Select Serialization Transactions.
  5. Select the Filter button.
  6. In the Filters panel, fill in one or more of the following fields to filter the results:
    1. Last Updated field – The period of time in which the updates to the serialized traceability transactions occurred:
      • Today – The transaction was modified within the last few hours.
      • Yesterday – The transaction was updated within the past 24 hours.
      • Last Week – The transaction was modified in the last 7 days.
      • Last Month – The transaction was modified in the last 30 days.
      • Last 3 Months – The transaction was modified in the last 90 days.
      • Last 6 Months – The transaction was modified in the last 180 days.
      • Custom Range – Select a specific period of time that the transaction was modified in from the calendar.
    2. State drop-down – The state of the serialized traceability transactions

      • Draft – The transaction is in the draft state.
      • Submit – The transaction has been created.
      • Processing – The application is getting ready to handle incoming transactions by doing some initial tasks, such as copying the files it receives.
      • Processed – The application changes the standard information into a format that is easy to use and specific to your transaction.
      • Preparing to Send – The application is getting ready to send out a transaction and is doing some initial tasks, like copying the necessary information for the process.
      • Sending –The application sends out business transactions to the buyer or supplier.
      • Sent – The transaction is successfully completed and shared with the receiving party.
    3. Sender field – The name of the owner company.
    4. Receiver field – The name of the partner company.
    5. Transaction Id field – A unique identifier assigned to each transaction.
    6. Type field – The type of the transaction.
  7. Select Apply.

    A list of serialized traceability transactionss displays based on the filter results.

  8. Select the link for the serialized traceability transactions from the results table.

    The View Serialization Transactions screen displays.

  9. In the General section, view the following fields:
    • Type field – The type of the transaction.
    • Transaction ID field – A unique identifier assigned to each transaction.
    • Process Status field – Displays the status of the submitted purchase order. This field is editable only when the work flow is in Processing, Processed, Preparing to Send, or Sending state.
    • Result field – The status of the transaction.
    • Sender field – The name of the owner company.
    • Sender Location field – The location of the sender company.
    • Receiver field – The name of the partner company.
    • Receiver Location field – The location of the partner company.
  10. In the Inbound Status section, view the following fields:
    1. Message ID field – The unique identifier of the message.
    2. State drop-down – The state of the serialized traceability transactions

      • Draft – The transaction is in the draft state.
      • Submit – The transaction has been created.
      • Processing – The application is getting ready to handle incoming transactions by doing some initial tasks, such as copying the files it receives.
      • Processed – The application changes the standard information into a format that is easy to use and specific to your transaction.
      • Preparing to Send – The application is getting ready to send out a transaction and is doing some initial tasks, like copying the necessary information for the process.
      • Sending –The application sends out business transactions to the buyer or supplier.

    3. Input File field – The name of the input file.

      Select the input file link to download the file.
    4. Canonical File field – The name of the .json file.

      Select the canonical file link to download the file.
    5. Transform Name field – The name of the transform map.
    6. Transform Version field – The version number of the transform map.
    7. Exception field – Any errors or discrepancy that might occur during the tracking and validation of serialized items.
    8. Processed Date field – The date on which the serialized items were successfully recorded, verified, and updated.
  11. In the Outbound Status section, select a item line row and then select the view the following fields:
    • Message ID field – The unique identifier of the message.
    • State drop-down – The state of the serialized traceability transactions

      • Draft – The transaction is in the draft state.
      • Submit – The transaction has been created.
      • Processing – The application is getting ready to handle incoming transactions by doing some initial tasks, such as copying the files it receives.

      Select the output file link to download the file.
    • Canonical File field – The name of the .json file.

    • Exception field – Any errors or discrepancy that might occur during the tracking and validation of serialized items.
    • Processed Date field – The date on which the shipped or transferred serialized items were successfully recorded, verified, and updated.

Export business transaction data

Owners and their Partners can export filtered business transaction data to a CSV file enabling structured access to transaction details such as transaction type, state, results, and any associated error messages. This functionality supports both senders and receivers of business transactions by providing a reliable way to review exchanged data outside the system. In the Export Files section, they can filter and view export history, track the status of each export, and download completed files.

Perform this task to filter, view, and download the exported files.

  1. Select a [MPL Network] from the Network drop-down in the header.
  2. Select a Team (e.g. your entire company or a Link to a specific Partner or internal location) in the header and select the Go button.
  3.  Select All Transactions from the left menu.
    Partners must have the correct roles assigned if using the Owner's instance of Multienterprise Information Network Tower.
  4. Select Business Transactions.
  5. Select the Export button.
  6. In the Export panel, fill in the following fields:
    • Output Format - The exported file type.

    • Maximum Rows - The number of transactions exported at a time.

    • Description - the reference name of the exported data.

  7. Select Apply.

    The message is displayed stating that the export is queued successfully.

  8. Select Dismiss in the messages dialog box.
  9. Select Import/Export Files on the top bar of the screen.
    The Search Import/Export Files panel is displayed.
  10. Select the Filter button and fill in the following fields
    1. Activity Name - The reference for the exported data.

    2. App Name - The name of the licensed application.

    3. State drop-down – The current status of each export request:

      1. Select All – Displays all available export statuses.

      2. Created – The export request has been created but has not started processing.

      3. In Progress – The export is currently being processed.

      4. Succeeded – The export completed successfully and includes all data.

      5. Partially Succeeded – The export completed, but some data could not be included.

      6. Failed – The export did not complete due to an error.

    4. Activity Completion Time - The date and time the export process was completed.

  11. Select Apply.

    The results display in the table.

  12. Select the Activity Name hyperlink in the results table to view the export details.

  13. The Export Details screen displays the following information in read-only mode:

    • Activity Name – The reference for the exported data.

    • Activity – The type of export action performed.

    • App Name – The name of the licensed application.

    • Description – The message if the file was successfully downloaded.

    • Request Time – The date and time the export process was requested or initiated.

    • Activity Completion Time – The date and time the export process was completed.

    • Import/Export File - The exported file available for download. The users can select the file name hyperlink or the Download icon to download the exported file..

  14. In the Import/Export File column, select the file name hyperlink to download the exported file.
