Integrate existing enterprise systems with TraceLink Serialized Operations Manager Trade Partner Event Exchange messages

This Asynchronous Application Programming Interface (API) Guide assists in the integration of TraceLink Customers’ and Partners' existing enterprise systems with the TraceLink Serialized Operations Manager Application. The Serialized Operations Manager Application is responsible for integrating with warehouse operations to link warehouse functions with serialization event management. One particular feature of Serialized Operations Manager is the ability to trigger event workflow management reports (e.g. Sales Shipment or Return Receipt reports) that can be sent to designated government entities to fulfill compliance requirements.

The Serialized Operations Manager Trade Partner Event Exchange API Guide contains messages used by Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, CMOs, and 3PLs that need to exchange events when performing operations on behalf of one another (e.g. Pharmaceutical Manufacturer/CMO exchange, Pharmaceutical Manufacturer/3PL exchange). These messages are used by the Plugin Framework for Configurable Workflows for event exchange between partners.

The inbound message types are event messages received into Serialized Operations Manager from a partner that also uses TraceLink as their serialization management system. This is the format that TraceLink uses for “TraceLink-to-TraceLink” communication of events performed by a partner on behalf of another.

The outbound message types are event messages sent outbound to a partner to inform them of serial number and event data for products that concern them.

The asynchronous Electronic Product Code Information Services (EPCIS) messages within this guide, which support global regulatory requirements, serve as the integration interfaces which a company uses to communicate event data (e.g. commission, aggregation, decommission, and destroy information).
