Import ServiceLinks

Overview

Select the Import ServiceLinks icon in the top right of the Manage ServiceLinks screen.

Upload a CSV file to invite several companies to access the Owner's application so that they can collaborate in TraceLink.

The Company Administration ServiceLinks function manages Links for US Product Track and Multienterprise Process Connect only. Manage Links for other apps in Management.

When you select Create ServiceLinks, it searches for the company on the network. If it does not find the company on the network, it creates a No Match Found.

Data to Upload

  • Service – The app owned by the company that the Link establishes a business relationship with.
  • CSV File – The correctly formatted CSV file containing the Links.

    The CSV file must be properly formatted or it will not be accepted by TraceLink.

    When downloading a CSV file, select Save rather than Open, and:

    • View the file in MS Excel. See Export a CSV File to Excel in Troubleshooting.
    • View the CSV file in a text editor.

    The following example is truncated for viewing because of the large amount of element headers. For the complete list of element headers, see the Element Headers drop-down below.

    • PublishingCompanyName – The name of the company that owns the app.
    • ServiceType– The type of app through which the Link establishes a business relationship with a Partner.
    • LinkStatus – The status of the Link.
    • UploadedCompanyID– The Partner identifier uploaded by the user's company that the TraceLink Network uses to establish a Link.
    • UploadedServiceAdminEmail – The email address of the initial Manager added when the user's company uploaded the Link information.
    • UploadedCompany– The name and address of the Partner company, populated from Partner Master Data.
    • SubscribingEntity– The name and address of the specific company or location that links to the app through the Link.
    • LastUpdatedDate – The date and time that a user last updated the Link.
    • LastUpdatedBy – The name of the last user who updated the Link.
    • ServiceAdminEmail – The email address of the initial Manager added when the user's company uploaded the Link information.

Available Actions

  1. Select a Service from the drop-down.
  2. Select Choose File to upload a CSV File.
  3. Select Submit.

    The Manage ServiceLinks screen displays.

  • Select LinkSample.csv.

    The file downloads.
