Permissions

Overview

Select the Permissions tab on the Create Role and Edit Role screen.

Change the functions users can perform when assigned a specific role.

Permissions

  • Module – The TraceLink application that the roles apply to.
    • Company Administration
    • Master Data
    • Russia Compliance
    • Serial Number Exchange
    • Serialized Operations Manager
    • Smart Inventory Tracker
  • Permissions – A list of functions and the level users can access them.

    Certain Functions only allow one Access Level when selected:

    • If only Full Access is allowed, Read Only cannot be selected.
    • If only Read Only is allowed, Full Access cannot be selected.

    • Function – The functions different roles can perform.

      Roles can be given Full Access only to the following Functions.

      • Serial Number Verification
      • Ship
      • Update Number Status
      • Undo Number Status
    • Access Level – The level of access a role has for a specific function.
      • Full Access – The user can view, edit, and manage within the function selected.
      • Read Only – The user can only view details of the function selected.

Available Actions

  1. Select the Functions that the role can perform by doing one of the following:
    • Select the checkbox next to each Function individually.
    • Select Select All in the column header to select all Functions.
  2. Select the Access Level for each Function selected by doing one of the following:
    • Select the radio button individually for each selected function.
    • Select Grant Full Access to selected functions.
    • Select Grant Read Only access to selected functions.
  3. Select Submit.

    The Manage Roles screen displays, and the updated role is saved.
