Create ServiceLink(s)

Overview

Select Create ServiceLinks on the Manage ServiceLinks screen.

Invite a company to access the Owner's application so that they can collaborate in TraceLink.

The Company Administration ServiceLinks function manages Links for US Product Track and Multienterprise Process Connect only. Manage Links for other apps in Management.

When you select Create ServiceLinks, it searches for the company on the network. If it does not find the company on the network, it creates a No Match Found.

Create Link(s)

  • Service Type – The type of app through which the Link establishes a business relationship with a Partner.
  • Subscribing Entity – The company or location that the Link establishes a business relationship with. The identifiers populate from the Company and Partner Master Data.

    Partners only display in the type-ahead field if their entry in Company or Partner Master Data is assigned a globally recognized identifier (e.g. DEA, DUNS, HIN).

  • Subscribing Entity Service Administrator Email Address – Email address of the Link Manager at the Subscribing Entity. If the email does not correspond to a user in the Subscribing Entity, the TraceLink Network assigns a Company Administrator at the Subscribing Entity as the Manager.

Available Actions

  1. Select a Service Type from the drop-down.
  2. Enter a Subscribing Entity in the type-ahead field.
  3. Enter a Subscribing Entity Service Administrator Email Address in the text field.
  4. Select Create Another ServiceLink if needed.
  5. Select Create ServiceLink(s).

    The Manage ServiceLinks screen displays, and TraceLink begins sending Link invitations to all of the specified Partners.

Error Messages

Error Message Description
Message will automatically be delivered to your company's TraceLink Product Track App. When creating a Link, the TraceLink Network checks to see if the Partner also owns a TraceLink Product Track app. If so, cross-link the Owner to the Partner.
Network company is not defined for the current company. Please submit a product support request to TraceLink. The Owner company is not yet set up as a network company. When the user enters this screen, the Submit button is disabled.
Network company for the current company is defined but is inactive. Please submit a product support request to TraceLink. The Owner company is inactive. When the user enters this screen, the Submit button is disabled.
