All templates
Serial number templates control the format and parameters for the serial numbers that Serial Number Manager generates.
Add a template
Add a serial number template to control the format of the serial numbers generated for a specific packaging code. Below are the template types:
- Auto-Replenished by Other Serial Number Manager – It supports auto-replenishment from an external serial number manager.
- Generated Random List – It formats random, non-sequential serial number lists (e.g. 5000, 5050, 5075, 5080).
- Generated Sequential List – It formats sequential serial number lists (e.g. 1000, 1001, 1002).
- Generated Sequential Range – It formats a range of sequential serial numbers (e.g. 5000-6000).
- Manually Imported List – It imports lists of serial numbers generated by an external serial number manager.
- Provisioned by Packager – It enables the packager to assign serial numbers independently of the manufacturer.
Import templates
Add an existing serial number templates to Serial Number Manager via CSV files.

- Hover over in the top menu, and then select .

MinThreshold - The lowest amount of serial numbers allowed in the repository, which must be greater than or equal to the maximum request quantity.
MaxThreshold - The highest amount of serial numbers allowed in the repository (maximum 10,000,000).
SerialNumberLength - The number of characters in a serial number. This value can be between 10 and 20.

Use Crypto Codes can be selected only if the Kazakhstan Target Market, Russia Target Market for Food Supplement products, or Uzbekistan Target Market has a Production Type of Imported in Product Master Data. A location can Use Crypto Codes for either an Imported or Locally Manufactured product, but not both for Russia pharmaceutical products. Valid values are Yes or No. If UseCryptoCodes is set to Yes, serial numbers provisioned through the template become available to locations only after TraceLink receives their associated crypto codes (i.e. enter the Unreserved state).
Can be set to Yes only if the following conditions are met:
The company owns the Kazakhstan Crypto Codes, Russia Crypto Codes, Russia BAFS Crypto Codes, or Uzbekistan Crypto Codes application.
PackagingCodeType is GTIN-14.
PackagingCodeValue has a Target Market of Kazakhstan, Russia or Uzbekistan in Product Master Data.
TemplateType is Auto-Replenished by Other Serial Number Manager or Generated Random List.
SerialNumberLength is 13 (for Generated Random List templates only).
PaymentType - How the company pays for crypto codes. Conditionally required if the template type is Generated Random List and UseCryptoCodes is Yes.

Search templates
Owners can search for the configured serial number templates of specific packaging codes to edit templates, view serial number replenishment history, view import history, or import a list of serial numbers to the repository for future use.
