Configure Serial Number Manager
Company Administrators that own Serial Number Manager must configure inbound and outbound message identifiers to communicate with their trade partners. See the Company Administration Online Help for more information.

Company Administrators can configure SOAP Web Services Description Language (WSDL) in Serialization Number Manager to request serial numbers from an Enterprise Serialization management (ESM) system. WSDL, an XML-based language, defines how to communicate using SOAP, outlining the operations and data required. These serial numbers are used to fill in a pool in Serial Number Manager (SNM) and are shared upon request to Line Management System. See the Management Online Help for more information.
Add or edit master data
Owners of Serial Number Manager must set up company, partner, and product master data so they can serialize their products. See the Master Data Exchange Online Help for more information.
Link Partners and internal locations
Owners of Serial Number Manager must link their internal locations and external Partners to Serial Number Manager so that they can exchange serialization data. See the Management Online Help for more information.
Manage users and roles
Owners for Serial Number Manager must add users to the app so they can access the UI to monitor their company's serial numbers. See the Management Online Help for more information.
Assign templates to Partners and internal locations
After Owners create serial number templates in Serial Number Manager, they must assign the packaging codes for those products to Partners in Serial Number Exchange so that the Partners can request serial numbers for specific products. See the Serial Number Exchange Online Help for more information.
Set up notifications
All Serial Number Manager users can sign up to receive email notifications based on certain events. See the Settings Online Help for more information.
