Company Identifiers

Overview

Select the Company Identifiers tab on the Edit Company Details screen.

  • Add or edit the unique identifiers for a company which are used whenever product or information is sent to or from that location.
  • Change which identifier is used as the location's primary identifier.

Company Identifiers

The following fields refer to information for the company (e.g. the Owner).

  • Primary Identifier – Indicates the primary identifier used by this company. Only one primary identifier is allowed, and it cannot be deleted. TraceLink uses the primary identifier to match any future updates or imports to the correct entity in the TraceLink Network.

    See the Identifier Types section in Identifier and Item Code Types for information about which identifier types cannot be used as a company's primary identifier.

The following company identifier types are required in the respective countries.

  • Argentina requires both AR-CUIT and GLN.
  • Brazil requires BR-CNPJ.
  • China requires CN-CN NUMBER.
  • Germany requires DE - IFA REG NUM.
  • India requires IN-PAN.
  • South Korea requires KR-BUS REG NUM.
  • US requires one of the following: GLN, SGLN, DEA, HIN, or DUNS.
  • Turkey requires GLN.

Available Actions

  1. Select Add New Identifier in the top-right corner of the tab.
  2. Select an Identifier Type from the drop-down.
  3. Enter the Value in the text field.
  4. If there is more than one identifier, select the Primary Identifier using the radio button.
  5. Select Submit Changes.

    The View Company Details screen displays, and the updated company master data is saved.

  1. Select an Identifier Type from the drop-down.
  2. Enter the Value in the text field.
  3. If there is more than one identifier, select the Primary Identifier using the radio button.
  4. Select the Remove icon () to delete any identifiers.
  5. Select Submit Changes.

    The View Company Details screen displays, and the updated company master data is saved.
