Take Sample Overview
The Take Sample message updates a set of serial numbers with a reason code of Sampled. If the items were already packed into a container, they are automatically disaggregated from the parent container.
This message can be used to trigger government reporting for sampling of serial numbers.
Product can be pulled from the line and sampled before it is commissioned in the TraceLink system. Line systems must send commission data to TraceLink before communicating the sampled status.
