TraceLink Roles

TraceLink API Guides group messages by application. Each API Guide contains all messages available within that application. Your company's business type (e.g. CMO, Wholesale Distributor, 3PL) and role in the TraceLink Network (Owner or Partner1) determine which of these messages to develop (i.e. not all messages within this guide may fulfill your business or compliance needs).

EU Compliance Reporting Owners

Pharmaceutical Manufacturers send the Serial Number Verification Request call to the EU Hub to initiate the verification of a product's serial numbers. The Response message contains an EventQueryResponseID which is used in the synchronous Serial Number Verification Retrieve Results API to request the verification report from the EU Hub at a later time.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturers send the Serial Number Verification Retrieve Results Request call to the EU Hub, which contains the EventQueryResponseID returned in the original Serial Number Verification Response message. The Response message returns the serial number verification results from the EU Hub.
