Sync serial number information
The Product Verification data rules determine which serial number information gets synced to Product Information Manager.
Only Producers can set these data rules.
Sync serial numbers to Product Information Manager
Determine which serial number information to sync
- Hover over the User profile in the top right of any screen, and then select .
- Select from the Management landing page.

Expand the Navigation in the header of any screen, and select Product Information Manager Data Rules.
- In the Product Verification Rules table:
- Select the for packaging codes whose serial numbers must be synced to Product Information Manager (each Target Market can only be selected once):
- American Samoa
- Guam
- Northern Mariana Islands
- Puerto Rico
- United States of America
- US Minor Outlying Islands
- Virgin Islands
- Select one or more of serial numbers that must be synced to Product Information Manager:
- All – All serial numbers with the selected Target Market are synced to Product Information Manager, regardless of item status.
Selecting All ensures that no serial numbers are missed. - Available – The item is available for picking.
- Blocked – The item is unavailable for picking.
- Pending Receipt – The transfer of ownership is in an interim state because the shipment awaits receipt confirmation at the receiving location.
- Picked – There is an item reservation against a specific outbound delivery indicating item picking is complete.
- Received – There is an item reservation against a specific outbound delivery indicating items are received.
- Shipped – The transfer of ownership is in an interim state because the shipment is in transit to the receiving location.
- Under Investigation – The item is quarantined or in a holding state due to a product investigation. The serial number cannot be included in a sales shipment.
- All – All serial numbers with the selected Target Market are synced to Product Information Manager, regardless of item status.

The Product Information Manager Data Rules screen refreshes with the new data rules.
TraceLink syncs the serial number information from Serialized Operations Manager to Product Information Manager. Any new or updated serial numbers sync within 24 hours of the update, and previously existing serial numbers sync at the next scheduled time. Verify the serial numbers with the Product Information Exchange Web UI or Producer Product Verification REST Request to confirm that the serial numbers successfully synced.
TraceLink syncs only serial number information for packaging codes added to the Product Directory that meet the criteria selected in the rules.
