Saudi Arabia PTS Upload and Download Overview (EPCIS v1.2)
The Saudi Arabia PTS Upload and Download messages allows Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Importers, Wholesale Distributors, 3PLs, and CMOs to upload or download serialization data from the PTS.
Saudi Arabia Compliance owners can upload serialization data to the PTS when exporting product from another country to Saudi Arabia or selling product within Saudi Arabia. Owners upload serialization data to the PTS in order to provide information to their partners and the Saudi Food and Drug Administration (SFDA). The partner that receives the imported product then generates and uploads an Import report to the Drug Track and Trade System (DTTS). Saudi Arabia Compliance generates a PTS Upload (Foreign or In-Country Sale) report as a record of the upload. Partners need to perform their own PTS Download to receive the data sent by the TraceLink customer.

Owners and partners can download serialization data from the PTS when receiving a shipment of purchased or returned items in Saudi Arabia.
TraceLink checks the PTS once per hour for serialization data associated with any of the GLNs specified on the DTTS Credentials tab for the Owner’s Saudi Arabia Compliance app and downloads the data, if available. After downloading the serialization data, the Saudi Arabia Compliance app generates a PTS Download report as a record of the download, which Owners can view in the Web UI.
If the PTS Download Received event workflow is enabled in Administration, TraceLink also processes the serialization data to register and aggregate the serial numbers, creating an inbound delivery in the Pending Receipt state. The delivery can then be received and reported to the DTTS in an Accept or Import report. Additionally, if there is an issue creating the inbound delivery, Owners can retry the processing using a new Reprocess icon on the Compliance Reports screen in the Saudi Arabia Compliance Web UI.
