Serialized Operations Manager API Guides
Serialized Operations Manager API Guides
There are 3 Serialized Operations Manager asynchronous API Guides to choose from:

The Serialized Operations Manager Core Integration API Guide contains messages used by any company (Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, CMOs, 3PLs, Repackagers, Wholesale Distributors, or Pharmacies) that uses TraceLink as their serialization system of record. These asynchronous messages and the SOAP API serve as the direct integration point from internal systems to TraceLink.
If a company has a Partner that performs services on their behalf (e.g. CMO or 3PL), the Partner must send event data to the company for the serialization operations performed on their behalf (e.g. ship, receive, destroy, etc). If the Partner does not use TraceLink as their internal serialization system, the Partner will also use these messages to integrate their internal system into the company’s Serialized Operations Manager as a Partner in the Serialized Operations Manager app.
If the Partner also uses TraceLink as their internal serialization system, the Partner integrates using the Serialized Operations Manager Partner Event Exchange messages to send event data via “TraceLink-to-TraceLink” communication.

The Serialized Operations Manager Trade Partner Event Exchange API Guide contains messages used by Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, CMOs, and 3PLs that need to exchange events when performing operations on behalf of one another (e.g. Pharmaceutical Manufacturer/CMO exchange, Pharmaceutical Manufacturer/3PL exchange). These messages are used by the Plugin Framework for Configurable Workflows for event exchange between Partners.
The inbound message types are event messages received into Serialized Operations Manager from a Partner that also uses TraceLink as their serialization management system. This is the format that TraceLink uses for “TraceLink-to-TraceLink” communication of events performed by a Partner on behalf of another.
The outbound message types are event messages sent outbound to a Partner to inform them of serial number and event data for products that concern them.

The Serialized Operations Manager ESM Synchronization API Guide contains messages used only by Pharmaceutical Manufacturers that have an internal enterprise serialization management system (that is not TraceLink) that serves as the system of record. The ESM messages are used to synchronize the events from an enterprise serialization management system of record with TraceLink to enable Partner event exchange (e.g. to CMOs or 3PLs) and compliance reporting to government systems.
Serialized Operations Manager SOAP API Guide
The Serialized Operations Manager SOAP API Guide is for Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) integration, which enables communication between enterprise systems and the TraceLink platform. It contains messages used by any company (Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, CMOs, 3PLs, Repackagers, Wholesale Distributors, or Pharmacies) that uses TraceLink as their serialization system of record. These messages and the Serialized Operations Manager Core Integration messages serve as the direct integration point from internal systems to TraceLink.
Processing Response API Guide
The Processing Response API Guide integrates TraceLink Customers' existing enterprise systems with Processing Response messages, which summarize the successes and/or failures of messages from other TraceLink apps (in this case Serialized Operations Manager).
API Client Kit
The API Client Kit pertains to the Java and .NET API.
