Set Market Withdrawal Status

Select the Status Update drop-down in the left-hand panel.

Withdraw, or undo the withdrawal of, products from specific Target Markets.

Product is withdrawn from an entire market if it is found that the product does not meet the regulation or safety standards for that market.

If additional Target Markets associated with an Item Code need to be withdrawn, best practice is to:

1. Perform the Undo Withdrawal Operation on the Item Code.
2. Perform the Set Withdrawal Operation for all necessary Target Markets.

Have the Item Code of the product readily available.

• Item Code - An Internal Material Number or Country Drug Code in the type-ahead field (pulls from Master Data). The format is [Product Code Type] [Product Code Value].
  • Markets – The Target Market Country Codes, as defined in the product's Master Data Exchange entry.
• Operation – Radio buttons that define the action. The options are:
  If additional Target Markets associated with an Item Code need to be withdrawn, best practice is to:

  1. Perform the Undo Withdrawal Operation on the Item Code.
  2. Perform the Set Withdrawal Operation for all necessary Target Markets.
  • Set Withdrawal – Sets all serial numbers and lots associated with a given Item Code to Withdrawn.
  • Undo Withdrawal – Removes the Withdrawn attribute from all serial numbers and lots associated with a previously withdrawn Item Code.
• Markets – The Target Market Country Codes, as defined in the product's Master Data Exchange entry, that the lots can be withdrawn from.

  All available Markets are selected by default. Field displays "--" if the Operation is Undo Withdrawal.

• Effective Date – The date that serial numbers and lots associated with the Item Code are withdrawn.

  Does not display if Operation is Undo Withdrawal.

• Reason Description – The reason for the set or undo withdrawal.

  512 characters maximum.

1. Select the desired entity in the Show Data From drop-down at the top of the screen.
2. Enter an Item Code in the type-ahead field or select the type-ahead icon to view all Internal Material Numbers and Country Drug Codes.

   Select the Add Another link to add an Item Code.

3. Select the Set Withdrawal radio button.
4. Select the Markets checkboxes.
5. Select the Effective Date from the date picker.
6. Enter the Reason Description in the text field.
7. Select the Submit button.

   A confirmation dialog box displays.

8. Select Confirm to submit the Set Withdrawal.

   The dialog box closes, and the confirmation message "The request to update the lots to Withdrawn has been submitted. This operation could take several minutes to process depending on the volume of serial numbers for this item. Check the outcome of this operation in Info Exchange." displays at the top of the screen.

5. Select the Submit button.

   A confirmation dialog box displays.

6. Select Confirm to submit the Undo Withdrawal.

   The dialog box closes, and the confirmation message "The request to remove the status of Withdrawn has been submitted. This operation could take several minutes to process depending on the volume of serial numbers for this item. Check the outcome of this operation in Info Exchange." displays at the top of the screen.
