Disaggregate Container

Select the Pack and Repack drop-down in the left-hand panel.

Disaggregate all child serial numbers from a parent container. When a container is unpacked, all child serial numbers contained within the container must be disaggregated before it can be either reused or decommissioned.

To expedite this action, have the serial number and container information readily available for each disaggregation event.

If a parent container becomes empty after the child serial numbers are disaggregated from it, TraceLink can automatically decommission the empty parent container. Select the Decommission container(s) if empty after operation is performed checkbox to activate this option.

To perform disaggregation operations, serial numbers must be in a"Commissioned" state and in one of the following statuses:

• Available
• Picked
• Blocked

When scanning, entering, or uploading a file to populate serial numbers, each number must be:

• On a separate row.
• Without any special characters.
• In one of the formats below:

SGTIN Serial Numbers

Used for:

• Items
• Innerpacks
• Bundles
• Cases and Shippers

The format is the AI(01)(21) serial number in barcode format:

1. First is the 01 Application Identifier
2. Followed by the GTIN-14 number
3. Followed by the 21 Application Identifier
4. Followed by the serial number

   Example: 010088202401033921725368249416

SSCC Serial Numbers

Used for:

• Pallets
• Mixed cases

The format is the AI(00) serial number in barcode format:

1. First is the 00 Application Identifier
2. Followed by the SSCC-18 code

   Example: 00008820200000050254

China EDMC Codes

Used for:

• Items
• Innerpacks
• Bundles
• Cases and Shippers

The format is the full 20-digit China serial number, as in this example: 81102302020117515452

• Container Serial Number - The serial number of the container where the items are being disaggregated.

To disaggregate items:

1. Select the desired entity in the Show Data From drop-down at the top of the screen.
2. Enter, scan, or upload the Child Serial Numbers:
   • Select Upload Serial Numbers from File:
     1. Select the Choose File button.
     2. Browse for and select the desired CSV file.

        The CSV file cannot contain headers.

   • Select Scan Serial Numbers:
     • Enter the serial numbers in the text field.

       or

     • Scan the serial numbers in the text field with an Edge device.

3. Select the Submit button. If the operation is successful, TraceLink:
   • TraceLink updates the serial number status, item status, and item attributes for the container, child, and sub-child items.
   • Displays the following success messages:
     • If the containers were not decommissioned or the Decommission container(s) if empty after operation is performed setting is off a "The [Number of Child Numbers] serial numbers you entered have been disaggregated from their container(s)" confirmation displays.
     • If the Decommission container(s) if empty after operation is performed setting is on and one or more containers were decommissioned, a "The [Number of Child Numbers] serial numbers you entered have been disaggregated from their container(s)and [Number of Decommissioned] container(s) have been decommissioned" confirmation displays.
   • Returns to a blank Disaggregate Items from Container screen, ready for the next disaggregation event.

2. Enter the Container Serial Number to disaggregate the child serial numbers from in the text field.
3. Enter the Child Serial Numbers by selecting one of the following:
   • Select Upload Serial Numbers from File:
     1. Select the Choose File button.
     2. Browse for and select the desired CSV file.

        The CSV file cannot contain headers.

   • Select Scan Serial Numbers:
     • Enter the serial numbers in the text field.

       or

     • Scan the serial numbers in the text field with an Edge device.

4. Select the Submit button. If the operation is successful, TraceLink:
   • TraceLink updates the serial number status, item status, and item attributes for the container, child, and sub-child items.
   • Displays the following success messages:
     • If the containers were not decommissioned or the Decommission container(s) if empty after operation is performed setting is off a "The [Number of Child Numbers] serial numbers you entered have been disaggregated from their container(s)" confirmation displays.
     • If the Decommission container(s) if empty after operation is performed setting is on and one or more containers were decommissioned, a "The [Number of Child Numbers] serial numbers you entered have been disaggregated from their container(s)and [Number of Decommissioned] container(s) have been decommissioned" confirmation displays.
   • Returns to a blank Disaggregate Items from Container screen, ready for the next disaggregation event.

  • If the Decommission container(s) if empty after operation is performed setting is on and one or more containers were decommissioned, a "The [Number of Child Numbers] serial numbers you entered have been disaggregated from their container(s)and [Number of Decommissioned] container(s) have been decommissioned" confirmation displays.
• Returns to a blank Disaggregate Items from Container screen, ready for the next disaggregation event.
