Initial Transactions How-Tos

Search Initial Transactions

  1. Select Manage Initial Transactions from the Go To drop-down in the top-right.

    The Manage Initial Transactions screen displays.

  2. Select a location from the Manage Initial Transactions for drop-down (optional).
    • For users belonging to the Owner's company:
      • If the app does not have any Partner locations:
        • [Owner Name] (default)
      • If the app has only one Partner location:
        • [Partner Location Name] (default)
      • If the app has more than one Partner location:
        • Select One... (default)
        • [Partner Location names] (in alphabetical order)
    • For users belonging to only one Partner location: 
      • [Partner Location Name] (default)

    • For users belong to more than one Partner location:

      • Select One... (default)
      • [Partner Location names] (in alphabetical order)
  3. Fill in one or more of the following search fields:
    • Reason Created – Indicates why a user created the initial transaction.
      • All (default)
      • Initial Inventory – Only transactions created because the user's company possessed products before compliance regulations went into effect return in the results table.
      • Repackaged Product – Only transactions created because the user's company repackages products as a Repackager return in the results table.
    • Created On Or After – Only initial transactions that occurred on or after this date return in the results table.

      • Defaults to 2 days prior to the current GMT date.

    • Created On Or Before – Only initial transactions that occurred on or before this date return in the results table.

      Defaults to the current GMT date.

    • NDC – Only initial transactions including products with this NDC return in the results table.
    • Keywords – Only transactions including the keywords in the Lot Number or Description fields display. Search is case insensitive.
      • The Keywords field is case sensitive.
      • Use an asterisk (*) to expand single-word search results.
      • "AND" is implied between multiple keywords.
      • Use "OR" to include either of multiple keywords.
  4. Select the Search button.

    The results display in the table.

  • Select the View Details link in the Actions column for any row with a Reason Created of Initial Inventory to access the View Initial Inventory Details screen.
  • Select the View Details link in the Actions column for any row with a Reason Created of Repackaged Product to access the View Repackaged Product Details screen.

Create an Initial Inventory

  1. Select Manage Initial Transactions from the Go To drop-down in the top-right.

    The Manage Initial Transactions screen displays.

  2. Select a specific location from the Manage Initial Transactions for drop-down.
  3. Select the Create Initial Inventory button.

    The Create Initial Inventory screen displays.

  4. Enter a NDC to specify the item code for the product.
  5. Enter a Lot Number associated with the product (optional).
  6. Enter an Expiration Date for the product (optional).
  7. Enter a Reference ID to identify the product at a more granular level than the lot number, e.g. a physical location within the inventory (optional).
  8. Enter a Quantity to specify the number of this product included in the transaction.
  9. Select the Specify More Initial Inventory link and repeat the previous steps to specify additional products.
  10. Select the Submit button.

    The Manage Initial Transactions screen displays, and TraceLink creates Transaction Histories for the quantity specified for the NDC and lot combination.

Create an Initial Transaction for a Repackaged Product

  1. Select Manage Initial Transactions from the Go To drop-down in the top-right.

    The Manage Initial Transactions screen displays.

  2. Select a specific location from the Manage Initial Transactions for drop-down.
  3. Select the Create Repackaged Product button.

    The Create Repackaged Product screen displays.

  4. Under "Repackaged Product Attributes":
    1. Enter a NDC to specify the item code for the product.
    2. Enter a Quantity to specify the number of this product included in the transaction.
    3. Enter a Lot Number associated with the product (optional).
    4. Enter an Expiration Date for the product (optional).
    5. Enter a Reference ID to identify the product at a more granular level than the lot number, e.g. a physical location within the inventory (optional).
  5. Under "Source Product(s)":
    1. Enter a NDC to specify the item code for the product.
    2. Enter a Lot Number associated with the product (optional).
    3. Enter a Reference ID to identify the product at a more granular level than the lot number, e.g. a physical location within the inventory (optional).
    4. Select the Specify Another Source Product linkand repeat the previous steps to add another source product.
  6. Select the Submit button.

    The Manage Initial Transactions screen displays, and TraceLink creates the Transaction History for the repackaged product.
