Update Shipment

Select the [Delivery Number] link in the Delivery Number column for any row with a Status of Open - Error or Open - Unsubmitted on the Manage Shipments screen.

• Update an incomplete shipment.
• Delete an incomplete shipment.

• Delivery Number – Number assigned to uniquely identify the shipment.

• My Company's Role – Indicates whether the user's company is a Manufacturer or Wholesaler Distributor / Repackager.
• From Business – The company that currently owns the products in the shipment. Upon selecting, the corresponding address displays below.
• Ship From Location – The location that sends out the shipment. Upon selecting, the corresponding address displays below.
• Gross Weight – Weight of all the products in the shipment, including the packaging.
  • Pounds (default) – Unit of measure for the weight entered in the text field.
• Carrier SCAC Number – The Standard Carrier Alpha Code that identifies the road transport company shipping the product.
• Transaction Date – Date of the sale or transfer of products.
• Shipment Date – Date the Ship From Location sends the shipment.
• To Business – The company that receives ownership of the products in the shipment. Upon selecting, the corresponding address displays below.
• Ship To Location – The company or location that physically receives the products in the shipment.
• If the Shipment Type radio button above is set to Sale, the identifiers in the type-ahead field populate from the user's Partner Master Data.
• If the Shipment Type radio button above is set to Transfer, the identifiers in the type-ahead field populate from the user's Company Master Data.
• Milestone Dates – Estimated dates for different points during shipment.
  • Delivery Date Type – The type of milestone during shipment.

    The first Milestone Date defaults to Estimated Delivery, which is required. Adding other Milestone Dates is optional.

    • Current Scheduled Delivery – The date that the Ship From Location schedules for the delivery.
    • Loading – The date that the Ship From Location loads the shipment for delivery.
    • Outbound Delivery – The date that the delivery leaves the warehouse.
    • Proof of Delivery – The date that the Ship To Location received the delivery.
    • Shipped – The date that the delivery ships.
    • Transportation Planning – The date that the Ship From Location plans transportation for the shipment.
  • Date - Time – Date and time of the milestone date.
• Transaction Statement – Set within Company Administration . Every transaction that a company performs includes the transaction statement. The transaction statement verifies that the company sending the transaction has complied with federal regulations surrounding product movement.

• Customer Vendor Number – Value that the customer, or To Business, uses to identify the user's company.
• Shipment Status – Indicates whether the shipment is partial or complete.
• Partial Shipment (PR) – The shipment is one of several shipments that makes up one Purchase Order.
• Shipment Complete (CC) – The shipment fulfills the entire Purchase Order itself.
• Net Weight – Weight of all the products in the shipment, not including the packaging.
  • Pounds (default) – Unit of measure for the weight entered in the text field.
• Lading Quantity– The number of countable units in the shipment.
• Ampoule – A sealed glass capsule containing a liquid.
• Bottle – A bottle containing the product.
• Box – A box containing the product.
• Carton – A carton of the product.
• Case – A case of the product.
• Container – A container of the product.
• Dozen – One dozen of the product acting as a countable unit.
• Each – A single saleable unit of the product.
• Gross – Twelve dozens of the product acting as a countable unit.
• Kit – A container of more than one type of product acting as a countable unit.
• Ounces – The product is counted in ounces.
• Package – A package of the product.
• Pallet – A pallet of the product.
• Percent – The product is counted by percents.
• Piece – A piece of the product.
• Shelf Package – A shelf package.
• Syringe – A syringe of the product.
• Unit – A unit of the product.
• Vial – A small capsule containing liquid product.
• Tracking Number – Tracking number assigned to the package by the carrier.
• Carrier Name – The name of the company delivering the shipment.
• Shipment Type – Indicates whether the shipment is a sale to another company or a transfer between the user company's locations.
• Sale – The user's company sells the products in the shipment to another company.
• Transfer – The user's company transfers products in the shipment to another location belonging to that company.
• Drop Shipment – Indicates whether the sending company delivers the shipment to a third-party location for the receiving company.

  A Pharmaceutical Manufacturer might select this option when a Wholesale Distributor (the receiving company) purchases the product from the Pharmaceutical Manufacturer (the sending company), but the Pharmaceutical Manufacturer ships the product directly to the Dispenser (a third-party location not on the TraceLink Network) who purchases the product from the Wholesale Distributor.

• If the Shipment Type is Transfer, then this checkbox is disabled.
• If checked, the Ship To Location field is not visible, and the following required fields appear:
  • Ship To Business ID – The identifier of the business receiving the shipment.
  • Ship to Business Name – The name of the business receiving the shipment.
  • Street 1 – The street address of the business receiving the shipment.
  • Street 2 – Additional address information. Optional.
  • City – The city of the business receiving the shipment.
  • Country – The country of the business receiving the shipment.
• Portal Access Code – The access code provided for a trade partner Member that does not link to the Owner's app (e.g. for a drop shipment). The Member uses this code to access Transaction Histories for the exchanges through the Transaction Histories portal within the Community app.
• Shipment IDs – Identifiers for the shipment.
• Identifier Type – The type of identifier for the shipment.
• Identifier Value – The value corresponding with the selected identifier type.

The following fields populate based on the values entered in "1. Enter Delivery Information."

• Delivery Number – Number assigned to uniquely identify the shipment.
• Transaction Date – Date of the sale or transfer of products.
• To Business – The company that receives ownership of the products in the shipment. Upon selecting, the corresponding address displays below.

• NDC – Item code of the product in the shipment. The item codes in the type-ahead field populate from Product Master Data and Redbook.
• PO Number – The Purchase Order number for the particular product. Multiple products can have the same Purchase Order number.
• TX History Quantity – The number of individual units of this product in the shipment.
• Sales Quantity – The number of individual products sold in the shipment. Typically used to populate the ASN.
  • Ampoule – A sealed glass capsule containing a liquid.
  • Bottle – A bottle containing the product.
  • Box – A box containing the product.
  • Carton – A carton of the product.
  • Case – A case of the product.
  • Container – A container of the product.
  • Dozen – One dozen of the product acting as a countable unit.
  • Each – A single saleable unit of the product.
  • Gross – Twelve dozens of the product acting as a countable unit.
  • Kit – A container of more than one type of product acting as a countable unit.
  • Ounces – The product is counted in ounces.
  • Package – A package of the product.
  • Pallet – A pallet of the product.
  • Percent – The product is counted by percents.
  • Piece – A piece of the product.
  • Shelf Package – A shelf package.
  • Syringe – A syringe of the product.
  • Unit – A unit of the product.
  • Vial – A small capsule containing liquid product.
• On Save – Indicates whether the shipment is complete and ready to be created within TraceLink.
• Complete Shipment – Create the shipment.
• Do Not Submit (allows you to complete shipment at a later date) – Save the entered data and return to this screen later to complete the shipment.

• Line Item – The number identifying the product in the purchase or sales order.
• Description – Populates from the Description entered in Product Master Data for the NDC selected above.
• Internal Material Number – The internal code that the user's company identifies the product with.
• Vendor Order Number – The number from the To Business's order.
• Invoice Number – The number of the invoice that the user's company sends to the To Business.
• Serialized Lot – Indicates whether the product is serialized at the lot level.

  If selected and the user's company uses Serialized Operations Manager, TraceLink sends Serialized Operations Manager the Delivery Number and Ship From Location. Serialized Operations Manager looks for a matching Delivery Number, and sends the serialized information back to Product Track. Product Track then sends this information to the To Business in an EPCIS message. For more information, see the Product Track API Guides.

• Non Rx Product Code – The code for a non-prescription product that does not need to be tracked for compliance purposes.

• Lot Number – The lot number associated with the product.
• Expiration Date – The date that the product expires. For Wholesale Distributors, this field populates automatically based on the Lot Number.
• Net Weight – Weight of the specific product, not including the packaging.
  • Pounds (default) – Unit of measure for the weight entered in the text field.
• Gross Weight – Weight of the specific product, including the packaging.
  • Pounds (default) – Unit of measure for the weight entered in the text field.
• Volume – The volume this product and its packaging take up in the shipment.

1. Enter Delivery Information:
   1. Enter a From Business in the type-ahead field, or select the menu button to see all businesses.
   2. Enter a Customer Vendor Number in the text field.
   3. Enter a Ship From Location in the type-ahead field, or select the menu button to see all locations.
   4. Select a Shipment Status from the drop-down.
   5. Enter a Gross Weight in the text field.
   6. Enter a Net Weight in the text field, and select Pounds from the drop-down to the right.
   7. Enter a Lading Quantity in the text field, and select a label from the drop-down to the right.
   8. Enter a Carrier SCAC Number in the text field.
   9. Enter a Tracking Number in the text field.
   10. Enter a Carrier Name in the text field.
   11. Select a Transaction Date from the date picker.
   12. Select a Shipment Date from the date picker.
   13. Select a Shipment Type from the radio buttons.
   14. Enter a To Business in the type-ahead field, or select the menu button to see all businesses.
   15. Select the Drop Shipment checkbox.
       1. Select a Ship to Business ID type from the drop-down, and enter a value in the text field to the right.
       2. Enter a Ship To Business Name in the text field.
       3. Enter a Street 1 in the text field.
       4. Enter a Street 2 in the text field.
       5. Enter a City in the text field.
       6. Enter the Country in the type-ahead field.
   16. Select a Ship To Location in the type-ahead field, or select the menu button to see all locations, if the user does not select the Drop Shipment checkbox.
   17. Enter a Portal Access Code in the text field.
   18. Enter the Milestone Dates:
       1. Select the Add Milestone Date link.
       2. Select a Delivery Date Type from.
       3. Select a Date - Timefrom the date picker.
   19. Enter the Shipment IDs:
       1. Select the Add Shipment ID link.
       2. Select an Identifier Type from the drop-down.
       3. Enter an Identifier Value in the text field.
   20. Select the Transaction Statement checkbox.
   21. Select the Next > button.
2. Specify Products in the Shipment:
   1. For Manufacturers: Select the Add Product My Company Manufactures link or the Add Product for which My Company is Wholesale Distributor link.

      Wholesalers, select the Add Product for which My Company is Wholesale Distributor link.

   2. Enter a Line Item in the text field.
   3. Enter a NDC in the type-ahead field, or select the menu button to see all NDCs.
   4. Enter an Internal Material Number in the text field.
   5. Enter a PO Number in the text field.
   6. Enter a Vendor Order Number in the text field.
   7. Enter an Invoice Number in the text field.
   8. Select the Serialized Lot checkbox.
   9. Select a Non RX Product Code from the drop-down, and enter a value in the text field to the right.
   10. Enter a Lot Number in the text field.
   11. Select an Expiration Date from the date picker.
   12. Enter a TX History Quantity in the text field.
   13. Enter a Sales Quantity in the text field, and select a label from the drop-down to the right.
   14. Enter a Gross Weight in the text field, and select Pounds from the drop-down to the right.
   15. Enter a Net Weight in the text field, and select Pounds from the drop-down to the right.
   16. Enter a Volume in the text field, and select a label from the drop-down.
3. Select an On Save option from the radio buttons.
4. Select the Save button.
   • If On Save is set to Complete Shipment, TraceLink creates the shipment. The screen returns to the Manage Shipments screen.
   • If On Save is set to Do Not Submit, TraceLink saves the shipment information but does not create it. The screen returns to the Manage Shipments screen, and the message "Shipment with Delivery Number [Delivery Number] has been saved. You can update its information and complete it in the future." displays at the top.

1. Select the Delete Shipment button to permanently delete the shipment.

   The Delete Shipment Confirmation dialog box displays.

2. Select the Confirm button.

   Product Track unpicks all product included in the shipment, and the Manage Shipments screen displays with the confirmation message "Shipment with Delivery Number [Delivery Number] has been deleted."
