Import File
Overview
Select on the Info Exchange screen.
Import a file to manually create an Info Exchange message in a TraceLink application or ProcessLink.
ProcessLink Owners and ProcessLink points of contact (POCs) who are Company Administrators can import an Info Exchange message to a particular . ProcessLink Owners and POCs that are not Company Administrators can import a file from the ProcessLink version of the Info Exchange screen.
File Information
- – The message imports to this ProcessLink or Service.
Determines the available options in the field. - – The type of message for the specific ProcessLink or Service (e.g. the Product Track module's could be Pick/Ship, Return Receipt, Create Initial Transaction, etc.).
See Message Types for more information. - – The file type being uploaded.
- CSV - TraceLink's Format – Defined and maintained by TraceLink.
- Configured Format – The user-defined file format for that Link (e.g. an XML file).
The Configured Format drop-down menu option is selected in most instances.
A zip file of the above mentioned formats can be uploaded. The zip file can contain only one message file. This feature is best used for larger files as it prevents significant upload latency. If a zip file is uploaded, that file can also be downloaded by users. - – The designated upload file.

The Info Exchange screen displays, and TraceLink begins asynchronously processing the imported message.
