Location How-Tos
Locations must be entered in Company Master Data to display in Company Administration.
Search Locations

- Hover over Locations. on the User Profile drop-down in the top right of any screen, and then select
- Fill in one or more of the following search fields:
- – Filters the results to locations that contain the entered in the , , or fields.
- All
- Visible – Only locations that can participate in TraceLink applications return in the results table.
- Not Visible – Only locations that cannot participate in TraceLink applications return in the results table.
– Indicates whether the location can participate in TraceLink applications.
- Select
The results display in the table.

Add or Edit a Location's Default Outbound Identifier

- Hover over Locations. on the User Profile drop-down in the top right of any screen, and then select
- Search for the desired location.
- Select the type used when the location sends messages in the last column (optional).
- Enter the corresponding identifier value in the text field below.
- Select
The screen reloads, and TraceLink saves the updated location settings.

Edit a Location's Default Info Exchange Profile

- Hover over Locations. on the User Profile drop-down in the top right of any screen, and then select
- Search for the desired location.
- Select an in the last column for the location to use an Info Exchange profile other than the default (optional).
- Select
The screen reloads, and TraceLink saves the updated location settings.

Update the Visibility of a Location
Locations must be visible to participate in any TraceLink app (i.e. be linked as a Partner to any TraceLink apps).

- Hover over Locations. on the User Profile drop-down in the top right of any screen, and then select
- Search for the desired location.
- Select or deselect the Can participate in TraceLink applications checkbox in the column.
- Select
The screen reloads, and TraceLink saves the updated location settings.
