Edit Workflow Configuration

Overview

  • Select Edit Configuration on the View Workflow Configuration screen.

    • Edit a workflow's recipient list or sender list configuration in the following ways:

    • Change the type of recipient list or sender list attached to the workflow.
    • Add or remove companies from the workflows current recipient list or sender list.
    • Remove the workflow's current configuration list to reset the workflow and deliver the resulting action to all applicable recipients or senders.

    A company must be added to the Manage Partners screen before it can be added to the Recipient List or Sender List table.

    Workflow Event Information

    • Event – The event that occurs within TraceLink.
    • Event Source – The name of the app where the event occurs.
    • Application – The type of app where the event occurs.
    • Resulting Actions – The action that TraceLink automatically prompts when the event occurs. If selected, the event triggers the action listed.

    • Recipient Application – The name of the app that receives the automatic action when the event occurs.

      Displays instead of the existing sender configuration for the workflows that support a list of recipients or senders instead of a list of senders.

    • Sender Application – The name of the app that sends the automatic action when the event occurs.

      Displays instead of the existing recipient configuration for the workflows that support a list of senders instead of a list of recipients.

    Recipient Configuration

    • Adjust Configuration – The configuration list adjustment type.
      • Manual Entry – Individually add or remove companies in the configuration list.
      • Remove List – Remove the current configuration list upon save.

        Removing the current configuration list resets the workflow recipient configuration and TraceLink delivers messages to all applicable recipients.

    • Recipient List – The type of configuration applied to the companies included in the recipient list (displays only if Adjust Configuration is set to Manual Entry).
      • Inclusion List – Only the companies included in the recipient list receive the workflow's Resulting Action message or event.
      • Exclusion List – Only the companies not included in recipient list receive the workflow's Resulting Action message or event.

      • Displays instead of the sender configuration for the workflows that support a list of recipients instead of a list of senders.

    • Remove Recipient List – Emphasizes that the configuration list will be permanently removed, and includes a Download link allowing users to download and save the current recipient list configuration locally (displays only if Adjust Configuration is set to Remove List).

    Recipient List Table

      The Recipient List table displays only if Adjust Configuration is set to Manual Entry. The table is enabled if only 100 or less entries are included in the workflow's recipient list. If there are more than 100 entries included in the workflow's recipient list, only the first 100 companies included in the recipient list display alphabetically in the table.

    • Company Name – The company's name.
    • Company ID – The identifier type and value used to identify the company, as entered on the Manage Partners screen.

    Sender Configuration

    Sender List Table

      The Sender List table displays only if Adjust Configuration is set to Manual Entry. The table is enabled if only 100 or less entries are included in the workflow's sender list.     • Company Name – The company's name.

    Available Actions

    1. Select Remove List from the Adjust Configuration radio-buttons.

      The Remove Recipient List or Remove Sender List field displays.

    2. Select Download in the Remove Recipient List or Remove Sender List field.

      The current recipient list configuration downloads.

    3. Select Submit.

      A confirmation dialog box displays.

    4. Select Remove.

      The dialog box closes, and the workflow's recipient list or sender list is removed from the configuration.

    A workflow's recipient list or sender list must include less than 100 entries to be manually edited using the Web UI. A workflow's recipient list or sender list can only be edited via CSV import on the Manage Workflow screen if the workflow's recipient list or sender list contains more than 100 entries.

    1. Select Manual Entry from the Adjust Configuration radio-buttons.

      The Recipient List or Sender Listfield and table display.

    2. Select a Recipient List or Sender List type from the radio-buttons.
    3. Select Company to add a company to the Recipient List or Sender List table.
      • Enter a Company Name or Company ID in the text field.
    4. Select the Remove icon in the Actions column to remove a company from the Recipient List or Sender List table.
    5. Select Submit.

      The workflow's updated recipient list or sender list configuration is saved.
